What fantasy novels do you like that really embodies the mechanic of "levelling up." For example, the protags in the Wheel of Time series level up from small town teens with significant but limited skills to adults with vast powers, often in ways related to their previous skillsets.

the reason i think video games should have easy modes is because they are just fucking toys. i like toys. they can even have artistry sometimes. but they are just toys. if u want a sense of skill based accomplishment then learn a skill, music, cooking, etc. put down the toy
whole lotta programmers need to do this too tbh
more people should understand how computers work at a very basic level. they are not magic and knowing how they work is very useful in the year of our lord 2023
