The Labour council is pretty non-ideological working with private, public, third sector. They just get shit done.

The town thrives whilst neighbouring ones decline. And the tories hate it!

They’ve opposed every major development in the last few years from the council buying the shopping centre and expanding, to the extensions that have brought in a much needed cinema and entertainment complex.

Tory councillor numbers continue to fall, losing leafy areas you wouldn’t expect

Chorley has just been awarded £20 million in levelling up money to develop the town, including a new what looks impressive civic square.

Local Tory councillors act miserable in response, complaining about the additional funding the (Labour run) council will also need to provide.
