Thinking of taking inventory on the clothes I plan on bringing on vacation so I can strategize outfits and see if anything else is needed 🤔

does your place have a laundry spot / are you gonna be near a laundromat? i found this past trip that i didn't even use half the clothes i brought along because i just did some laundry whenever it was starting to pile up
For the first week of the trip no laundry but once we get to Tokyo our place has laundry in the room which I'm so excited about lmao
oh that's even better you don't have to pay for it even. first airbnb i did over there seven years ago had a washer in the house and a clothesline for drying.
air-drying takes forever though is my only caveat, but then again, japanese dryers are turned down ridiculously low so it takes hours anyway
My last two trips we stayed in the same business hotel which had communal laundry and it stressed me out so much cause I'd never just LEAVE my stuff there and take off so I'd need to hang around the hotel till it was done. Ugh
hope it wasn't apa....
also yeah i stay at this place in yushima like 15 minute walk from akiba station and like nobody knows about it and it has 2 washers and 2 dryers (one doesn't work right now) but very few people use it so i just do my laundry in the middle of the night usually
there's also two laundromats right around the corner from the place (as well as both a 7-11 and a famima) so even if the on-prem units were all full i could at least go to the ones in the neighborhood. those are 24/7 as well i think
Nope, never APA!! 😅
People who bring their laundry basket to the laundromat instead of moving their clothes to a laundry bag - I have no rational objection I can articulate but I feel very strongly that this is unacceptable public behavior
I haven't hung laundry for a long time because the place I live has a dryer in it. Previously I hung laundry to save on coin operated driers, but you're right, it does prolong the life of garments
I wish I was fortunate enough to have laundry on premises like imagine just being able to do your laundry whenever you want to & ya don't have to get up the will to trek out to the laundromat??? What a life!!
Back on my bullshit, doing laundry at 2am so I don't have to interact with anyone else in the laundry room.
I love putting laundry in the machine, but I hate taking laundry out of the machine
Then I woke up because husband was starting a load of laundry and wanted me to put my clothes in the washer. The end.
Can't. Gotta wait til the clothes dry so I can rotate the laundry.
Well I could have brought my laundry to the laundry place when it wasn't raining but it looks like I procrastinated for an hour and now that ship has sailed
The laundry room is right next to the kitchen so if you'd rather do laundry we can keep each other entertained while I'm cooking for you and you're folding clothes
The pile of wet laundry was still on the counter in the laundry room so I put it in the dryer & there was already 45 minutes prepaid so I put in an extra quarter.
Why do I feel like Imma get in trouble?
Yes but also a lot of weeks I just move it to be not on my bed instead
Half the laundry I put away was last week's laundry I had just moved
I don't have in unit laundry, but I don't care because there is a laundry room in the building.
In 2 hours, I can do 3 loads of laundry and in between moving it along, make a healthy dinner, clean the bathroom, give the cat attention, and read.
PHEW got 3 loads of clothes plus Ravi's laundry in, it's Chore Day but my regular chores will be half-assed because I needed to do laundry so badly lol
I really need to get up and start some laundry, but there's a cat on my lap so I feel I'm justified staying in place & noodling on the internet.
I don't make the rules.
I have THE best luck, you guys. The wifi is down in the community laundry room, so I can't pay for a machine. And I have 3 washers full of wet clothes.
I did laundry three times since my vacation started last weekend. There is still laundry to do. Why does the laundry never stop?
New York City math: lugging your laundry on a 2 hour train trip is easier than bringing it to the laundromat around the corner.
need to go grocery shopping but I forgot to do laundry and have no clothes so it's time for some in the box* thinking.
*wearing a box
I was barely able to deal with the basement laundry room at our last building. I don’t have the patience for a laundromat.
Vacuumed out the lint compartment of the dryer and testing now. The annoying thing is I went without doing laundry for so long the "laundry porch" is so full of clothes I can't even move the dryer if it's a bigger issue.
I did not put my clean clothes away and now Grendel has made a laundry nest on the bed.
Katie could not sleep on the dryer because I left a laundry basket in the way, I came in to move laundry and found her sitting disconsolately on the edge of her blanket 😭
Waiting for my bedsheets to dry in the laundry
Whyyyyy did I do laundry so LATE
Oh I see. They started renovations work last week in the building where the communal laundry room I use is, and I forgot my booking would likely be canceled… And now there is no other laundry room free.
