You also decide to change the system, the companies the rich owned, so that they stop giving so much cars and gas and so on that people have come to depend on.

The hard choices are all still there once you take the rich out of the picture. You still have to change lives or all you change is blame.

People should do their part and buy cute ebikes and scooters... Either as toys if you're rich or practicalities otherwise. Then we can all vote in local politicians that set aside protected bike lanes and enjoy clean air, quiet streets, and indirectly less pollution from shareholders.

The problem is you're trying to shoehorn everyone into a handful of models of vehicles with a straight swap. And for a lot of us, there isn't a production model that comes close to what we need out of a vehicle. Doubly so when we're talking vocational use (legit the only reason I still drive).

When I lived in the city, I walked or took the (very crappy, and never on time) bus or a cab (if absolutely necessary) everywhere. But when we moved back to my hometown, we had to get a car. After people kept telling us to get an EV... except there are no EV charging stations within HOURS of driving

Feel good, but the report itself shows the emissions to be from the companies. Even if you take away the billionaires yachts, jets and stocks, those emissions won't go away unless you shut down the companies they own.

If you shut down the fossil fuel companies you're back door same as banning cars.
