That sounds really interesting Patrick. Always love a trip back in time.
Mahala, and thank you for commenting. ๐ค๐ป
Yes, I find people either love or hate the cruise experience. I'm somewhere in the middle.
Yay Ed! Always a pleasure. Thank you. ๐ค
Thank you so much John. Mahalo.๐ค
These are really lovely colourful photies showing the buzz of street life in Taiwan, even though it would drive me insane to be there with so many people mooching oot & aboot! ๐ Great photie opportunity, though, and defo worth the day trip. I was amused at the woman taking a selfie with the stick. ๐คณ๐ผ
Yes, the Banyan tree is EXTREMELY interesting. Hanging roots are known as prop roots that arise from the aerial branches and grow downwards. It is said that they can 'walk' somewhat too - or at least reposition for optimal sunlight and nutrients.
Yes, by a miracle it survived and is being nursed back to full health.
It's a Banyan Tree. This one was in Waikiki. ๐
You mean she looks like the pin? Lol, yes she does. Ha ha, very good.
Sorry, I just saw this. I have seen the entrance when I toured Castel Sant'Angelo but was not allowed to enter it. Actually its more a passageway within the walls of the fortification: Passetto di Borgo that connects to the Vatican. Here's a link, with photos, inside and out.

www.slate.comJeez... Spelt #Oahu wrong. Missing an edit button. lol.
Aw... and I was looking forward to Friday's alliteration! ๐
Good for you, actually, it is the start of the weekend, might as well make it a long one!
Yes, nothing like a nice cup of convict covfefe, is there?!
That's a really great photie. For all the times I've been to Rome, I've only been in the Vaticano 1 time. Didn't get in the dome, though, & now I will have to. I like seeing the Castel Sant'Angelo here being connected via Via della Conciliazione. Did you know there is a secret tunnel, between the 2?
Nice of you to say so. Much appreciated! ๐
I believe we've passed by, but I'll probably be in the area again as my friend is the Director (or something like that, lol) of the Borgo Antichi Orti Hotel at the base of the Basilicaโat least for now anyway as Saudi poss in his futureโto the chagrin of his wife & myself. If not will defo pop by.
Interesting, while I used to drink Tanqueray before becoming highly pretentious, I don't think I had ever heard of No. 10. I'll have to remedy that; I just looked it up, and it sounds amazing. But yeah... gin... makes ya sin! ๐ Currently I am trying award winning Compass Gin Royal from Nova Scotia.
Because the barman at the hotel I can never leave, told me it could be Henhouse Five Plus Two?!
Does one of the songs go like: Pokpokpokpokpokpoookpoookpokpokpoookpokpokpoookpokpokpookpokpokpoookpokpok Pokpokpokpokpokpokpoookpok Shake shake shake shake?
It'sh how Bond schpeaks, MIsh Moneyshellie!
Yes. the Scottish, in battle, and all things... actually... prefer to play with their prey - especially on catudays - as opposed to going in for the quick kill with a single thrust.
It ish kind of schimilar what with Shhhhean & I being Schcottish an' all. It ish a bit o' a cursh, don't ya know!
I actually met Purdy on a flight to the US from the UK once... is that the same Avengers? Joanna Lumley? I was in the aristocrat row 32B - albeit the middle seat!
Yes, the name's Bond, Secretly Bond!
No I am very pretentious. I prefer the colour change of my Empress botanical gin infused with a well selected Fever Tree tonic, only of course, if my preferred tonic contained in the unassuming slim, corrugated, brown glass bottles don't arrive in time from Spain.
So my Uber didn't turn up so I have returned to the bar to kill some time, and for whatever reason the Mamas & the Papas - whom I know nothing at all about - for whatever reason popped into my head. Should I order another gin?
Ok, just gonna go for it. Last guess. Stevie Nicks (Solo) Rock Chick! lol.
Lol, ok, my first guess was Fleetwood Mac.
Ok, I have two guesses, the first one I thought I had posted, but can't see it here, so I am going to use my second guess instead. The Eagles. Specifically Bernie Leadon.
Yes, I did go to Costco and had another look at that cooling bed but it's so frigging massive, no way is that going to fit anywhere without me tripping over it. I will have to look for a smaller one at the pet store or online.
He sends you a sloppy kiss! ๐ ๐ถ
Ahhh... Durham... the home of the Pink Panther. (For anyone not British, the joke is: Where does the Pink Panther come from? And the answer, said quickly twice in succession, is... Durham Durham... Durham Durham... the theme tune to the Pink Panther series. You're welcome. ๐
Really good photie. The focus setting aimed entirely on the squirrel makes for a good blurry backdrop here.
Oooh, I went there once a very long time ago. It certainly seems to have grown up. I always remember signs on the beaches warning that the ozone layer was thinnest there and to be careful of sunbathing.๐ Great photie.
Great detail. You can almost touch it.
ABSOLUTELY NOT! The one and only rat's ass he gives is solely about his next grift.
Really lovely photie Patricia. ๐ Lots to look at there.
