What a wonderful thread you started! I have two cats that I adore, but for a couple of days, my timeline was nothing but cats. Great to see Lumi again. She is a wonderful, magical inspiration for all. Great job @mac-b5.stickimporters.com !
When the egret turns around, he faces Trader Vic's. He could hop or fly on over in less than a minute if he wanted.
Beautiful! Over the years I've had several orchids in my office and it was always hit or miss whether they would live and thrive -- or, not. You've done great!
Look at that long, fluffy tail! Where's that been? How did I miss that?
My pleasure. Thought it was interesting and hate to have subscriptions and see the gift articles go to waste.
Totally due to the tree and the location the egret chose to groom itself. Thank you!
I can honestly say that I went out just before low tide when there are usually a ton of shorebirds, herons, egrets, etc. and had found nothing. Then I found 1 Cormorant and 1 Clark's Grebe (all by itself in mid-Bay with 0 other birds). So, I was very happy to have found it. Luck. Thx!
So sorry for you and Kieran. Sounds awful. Hope it heals soon and you get through it quickly.
Thx. They are amazing. I was looking for birds to photograph, so was very happy when I saw this large egret in a pine tree.
I guess! Or, maybe it is a privacy issue and they want to spend some time alone. Each time I've seen them, it has only been one bird and they've hung out for a while. Usually, I see them in groups with other local herons or egrets.
Over the years, I've taken a number of trips on different routes of Amtrak between the East Coast and West Coast. Also, took a train in Norway into the Arctic Circle. Wonderful way to relax and see the world. Enjoy!
Happy Caturday, Minka, you look very thoughtful. Hope you had a great day.
Thanks! It always amazes me to see them fly in large groups, always in synchronized intricate patterns over the bay.
June 8, 2016, Live Cam screenshot of DC eagle nest with Mr. President and The First Lady. The 1st fledgling had taken flight the day before. Every time I see this in photos I'm shocked and then I realize I didn't actually see them in real life, but it is a screenshot from the cam. 🙂
I forgot it was Caturday! She is adorable and was even cuter when I first saw her leaning over the edge watching. As is so often the case, no camera or iPhone in hand. Thx and Happy Caturday to you, too!
You're welcome! I wasn't sure if anyone else would find it interesting, so happy to hear from you.
The one I watched was with Mr. President and Lotus. Watching the babies was wonderful but watching them grow with predators occasionally checking out the nest and then watching them learn to fly was difficult for my nervous system.
Exactly! I love the part where Trump's team is happy that the story did not seem to gain traction with many other media outlets after the WSJ had published it.
Thank you for all of your updates regarding the various legal matters haunting us these days. I've particularly appreciated your summaries of testimony given in some of court appearances.
She looks like she is very proud of herself, so I'm sure she did. 🥰🥰🥰
Love that! One of my favorite Mohawks is a Great Blue Heron who was swimming in a little lagoon near where I live and when he shook the water off his feathers he had a perfect spiky mohawk. (Was going to post, but not sure where it is.)
By the intent look on your face I can see that you took protecting mama very seriously. Good job, Cheddar!
