Oh man, the minions do all that for me ๐
Over here, if it rains heavily (yeah right) all the nests get swamped and they have to abandon or start again. I think that means they secure them to underwater reeds or something, to prevent them drifting around the lake.
๐ Need a day to get over all that cooking and bloody mary making, et al.
That's a tough call, even I can't get it right with only bird butt! ๐คฃ
Oh come one, even I can't get it right with bird butt! ๐คฃ
As we all know, flycatchers are one of the best birds, this one is a Spotted Flycatcher, even though it's striped! ๐
Good week all, keep smiling. #birds
๐คฃ It doesn't just say it can't identify the "bird"!
I thought to. No one there as you can see but it's well used, the soil is worn away at the seat, shorter legs wouldn't reach the ground sitting!
And the bonus is getting close up to them!
You're welcome Mary! So pleased he was egg sitting and hadn't disappeared.
I can imagine, we used to look after baby animals whose mother's had been caught in snares and traps. Not the same thing but very satisfying.
Birds really know what irridescence is all about!
That's good to hear, personally never seen one either.
Finally a bird with an appropriate name! What a sleek looking bird.
What, white Grebe feet! That's fancy. A great low shot Glen and with those red eyes. It almost looks as if the bottom of the egg is in the water.
Brilliant Eugenio, you have the character perfectly ๐
Wonderful news Mary and another super picture!
And what a great shot, I can see you're making the most of it Steve!
It would seem that the smaller the bird, the larger the volume.
Nothing to see here, move along. Great image!
Warning you about their nest probably! ๐
