Of this ostensible compact;

I was falling asleep last night when, at midnight, the Air-Conditioner Contractors of America thought it necessary to blast me a training invite. I can't even fathom how I got signed up for that in the first place.
They want me to pay through their online portal that charges 5% for credit/debit and $5 for direct banking. So I send them checks on the 1st that they don't deposit until the 20th and complain that I'm late on my payments. I love surviving.
Last night, I dreamed that I became a US Senator. It was a perpetual frat party where half the attendees were despondent from clinical depression. The secretary from Grease gave me a cool rubber stamp for discourse with Lithuania and offered me more stamps if only I paid her a private office visit.
I just look for the patterns in the social recycling program. None of this is "new." Just ask the Barenaked Ladies.
CO2 isn't the only result of burning fossil fuels. The affect of direct CO2 to the environment is a 1:1 ratio, but the affect of byproducts like nitrous oxide are 300:1. You don't get NO from burning trees, and trees can't help do anything about it so it stays active for a long time like CFC's.
For example, we are still paying the price for 50yo abuses of CFC refrigerants as aerosol propellants (they didn't only affect the Ozone Layer). Biomass isn't a perfect substitute but as I said, it works better where other options aren't as easily available.
The land-use article makes valid points, but my concern with the other is that it appears to be comparing CO2 emissions in bad faith. CO2 is only the core metric for climate effect, but other byproducts of burning fossil fuels have long-term delayed impacts that cannot be abated.
Personally, I would love to run for office, but the reality is that the system is designed to keep laypersons out both by limiting our availability (commitment to survival) and pricing us out of competition (lack of influence). It's all grifting and nepotism these days.
So glad you crossed my feed; I've missed seeing your comics since leaving Reddit. ❤️🔥
Last night, I dreamed that four miniature black holes being used for energy generation breached containment and, to save the planet, I had to climb the tallest building to punch the Sun. This made Super Mario very angry, and he kept pushing me off the ledge.
The New Yorker article was pay-walled so thanks for sending these along; I'll give them a review. I've been in the energy/sustainability sector for a long time, and this contradicts much of my own understand so to be honest: I'm very skeptical of it.
I'm kidding about burning books, but biomass/biodiesel are much better fuel source substitutes than most of what we use today. Way better than heating your home or powering your car with fossil fuels where PV/wind may not currently suffice.
Environmental issues, effects, benefits, and impacts of producing and using biomass for energy.

I think what helps make "The Count of Monte Cristo" an almighty slog is that it was originally a serialized story for a journal released in 18 parts. I still enjoyed it, but it's one of the more grueling tomes I've read.
The answer appears quite clear: we must replace fossil fuels with book-burning.
My boss made a great point yesterday what a difference not growing up with the Internet made on older folks. How we all had to be creative and figure things out, ask for help, or go to the library and hope the answer was there. If I called the Nintendo Power hotline, I would've gotten a whoopin'.
I thought SMB2 was a great fever dream; both figuratively and literally.
Having the wire on my knee brace digging into my thigh all day gave me a much better understanding of the pain women go through with their underwire. Y'all ladies have my condolences.
Chlorine liquid is for clothes. Chlorine gas is for cleaANgfn... 🪦
Read it in high school and still quote "Et tú, Brute?" all these years later because people really are backstabbing bastards.
Shark-jumping has no meaning when you see the Time Knife from the IHOP.
I don't have strong opinions about AI either way except for when I see people trying to pass it off as their own work. Like, bruh, you can't BS a BSer.
I post ragebait then block any non-mutuals who reply aggressively. It reminds me of my uncle's old trick of sticking probes from a car battery in the ground to make the earthworms surface. Kind of the same idea, but with trolls.
Not just still in network, but she's in the same clinical group as the doctor they keep trying to assign to me. I still see her for my appointments, but it's going to be weird of something happens and the other doctor gets called about a patient they've never met.
I've had the same in-network PCP for over a year, but every time I have to renew my plan with Anthem, they assign me a new one. Now they won't let me change it, I asked them why, and they tried to gaslight me that this has always been my PCP. I asked them who authorized it, and they won't respond. 😩
Election years are forever going to be a minefield on the US Internet. Political trolls are just another form of spam.
And no, I'm not saying that communism is a problem, just the trolls that cosplay radical communists to make actual communists look bad.
One nice thing about this platform is that the tankie trolls operate in concert to light the beacons and zerg for your block button's attention. Just say "Trump is worse than Biden" out loud, and they hivemind after you in a single-issue effort to prove you wrong like the same way MAGAs do.
"He's not hurting the people he needs to be hurting" pretty much summed it up for me. Anyone who lives by such a philosophy is extremely dangerous to our society. They like to puff up and act big and threatening to make us feel outnumbered, but they trick themselves, too. Don't fall for it.
If you're playing on PC, there are some mods to help with that. I seem to recall there was another mod that dovetails really well with this one and made the game that much better.
Native open source plugin providing several camera tweaks. Unlocked camera pitch, zoom, controller stick deadzone. No separate executables. Configurable.
www.nexusmods.comI could think of a few games that made me cry for their characters, but Genesis Noir is one of the few that made me cry for me. It was a game that was there when I really needed it.
I can't remember now how long it was after The Omen came out that anyone I saw named Damian was automatically feared. It makes me wonder how it's going for all the Daenaryses right now being automatically disappointing.
Tangentially related, in classic MMORPGs, I always played the tank role so I felt obligated to watch walkthrough videos of fights before my guild tried them. Similar to sportsball players watching "tape" before games. If you make your hobby into a labor, studying isn't necessarily a bad thing.
It's all about trading one scandal for another these days. Got dirt one someone? Blackmail them for a less damning result. The media's been all over this for years, sanitizing every catastrophe for profit, but even the guy sitting on the Diddy tape this whole time reeks of it.
Just going to leave this here to punctuate your comment about Jared. He's already thinking about it.
About 1.5 million displaced Palestinians are sheltering in the southern Gaza town of Rafah, as Israel looks to eliminate Hamas following the militant group’s deadly Oct. 7 attack.
apnews.comI laugh at the neo-Berniebros trying and shame people out of voting for Biden. Sure, I'm pissed at his support for Israel right now, too, but I'm well aware that if Trump were still president, he would have offered nukes many times over by now. Revolt and I'll consider, but until then: Biden.
