Also the people all aghast that you need boosters probably don't want to go back to 'everyone locks down over and over because the _______ is spreading again.
I've not even seen something as basic as polling 'does adding armed national guards in the subway make you feel safe'. Perhaps it exists but I'd be very interested in a cross tab of people that ride the subway, specifically.
I like how she thinks that's terrifying rather than something people would pay lots of money for.
My kid is rewatching worst witch and fwiw they do. I just heard an episode where a boy wizard disguised himself as a girl because he wanted to learn the (girl coded) chanting magic and one of the main characters wanted to learn (boy coded) wand magic. I wonder if that was a FU to Rowling.
So mine is like oh a magic school but also a bunch of boys are in it and they don't even have cat familiars? Hmm. Esp since worst witch is written for a younger audience it really worked out well. Highly recommend this to anyone with young kids.
The kids in my kids class - some have, mine only saw the first movie (because all the other kids have seen the movies). But I was lucky enough someone on Twitter recommended the Worst Witch series. Which I had all of for my kid way earlier. HP borrowed a lot from it so it's kinda a vaccine to HP.
He sucked so much I was insulted as a teenager that any old dude would write a fictional teenager that vapid and annoying.
I've been saying this!! People have internalized that they are consumers and approach voting like buying something.
Yes! That was another one we liked. Still have two books of it too. Good for toddler aged kids.
Sarah and Duck is good too. I think geared for even younger kids. Sweet, calming energy
Esp since my grandma (for instance) lost a sister in childhood because no antibiotics. I wonder if that was so much in the fabric of recent past it didn't seem like a school topic.
The odd thing is with covid my kid and a lot of kids know because it was super relevant and I wonder if the boomers never put it in the curriculum because their generation knew because so many being crafted in their childhood. They would have the same experience as Gen Z/A
I mean plus the whole 'if Biden has a female vp and then I do that will get the woman vote'.
I like how it def didn't hold a grudge. Just went home ready to have some snacks
Or someone wanted a lifted bowl and they said 'oh I want one with feet' to the person going to make it and that person was Very Literal. And everyone loved it.
They are racists and want to force white American women to have more children than they want to one way or another. That's the thread line.
They might have decent relationships with their actual mothers individually. But it's that dynamic as a group. Generally speaking.
It's deeply deeply rooting in what I think of as an knee jerk 'NO' to anyone mommy coded is telling them to do.
Calling attention to it in advance is a bit weird if you expect to get away with it yourself. I'd say if anything she wants her followers to vote twice, while staying legal herself.
That's the thing. Established brands can just sit there and collect their money. Occasionally do a peppermint frosty to mix things up. But the execs get bored and try and get 'creative'.
Nah she was planning on posting that she got two to sow the seeds of 'the vote isn't legitimate'. That's why she did the requests from two addresses in the first place. On the last day.
If they take them (and they absolutely should and it would delight me) - what happens to loans he took out with those as collateral? Esp if they take some of the collateral but not others?
If society insisted that if it is to late every single denier that made money off it (and their heirs) should be stripped of all possessions and those funds used to mitigate damage I bet they'd think we could probably do something still.
I will say 'hey world, this ahole did this scam, here are a bunch of photos I took with my phone' means probably there will be less people able to go town to town with the same scam.
Yeah idk. The biggest most, famous ones were pre AI. I really think when my kid is an adult non digital stuff will have a resurgence. Because her generation isn't super impressed by touch screens. But an old vending machine with real buttons and the spiral releasing the food is 'cool'.
Fast but garbage quality is the treadline to why AI can't beat humans at creative things (which are by the very nature of creative things inherently about quality). Including bs ads.
AI made this scam less successful in my eyes. I suppose is my point. Because it sucks.
That's he thing. AI just saved him a half hour on Photoshop. I'm not pro ai, I just think he would have run the scam without it almost as easily. And tbh it probably would have been more successful if all the words on the ad were actual words. Which I assume he could have done.
