journal.neilgaiman.comIt's a really good book. @hayleycampbell.bsky.social is a fabulous writer.
Still true. It was why I did the Heritage Auction in March, as well. It's helping people.
I saw @neilhimself.neilgaiman.com write something along the lines of, when I look back on my life, I don’t want to say, “I could have been kinder”. That has benefited my perspective more than my cognitive therapy.
This is or will be the UK edition.
Micaela Alcaino's beautiful cover design for the 25th anniversary edition of Stardust by @neilhimself.neilgaiman.com which will be available through most bookshops from November
Beautiful!

Always.

And he delivers it perfectly. I had a long drawn out battle with the editor who kept cutting away from Michael and blowing the joke. I won, and we stay on Michael as he says the whole thing, but I'm not sure the editor ever understood why.
Aw. "Get thee behind me foul fiend! After you."
is such a lovely line. Nothing in the world could stop me smiling after Michael does, every time.
And he is @jcuneo.bsky.social if you want to tell him yourself.
I fucking LOVE John Cuneo. This is his cover. That is all.

I was in the Compass bookstore at the United terminal at SFO and peeked to see if you’d crypto-signed any books. When I mentioned this to a clerk, she became slightly alarmed and said “has he done it again!?” Seemed frustrated/exasperated by the problem 😆
Exciting!!

youtu.beI didn’t know this. I just learned how many things I thought were just things Americans said were invented by Al Capp for the Lil Abner strip, including “hogwash” and “going bananas”.
Though one thing I've known for a long time, perhaps not as embedded but still fun, is that Stephen Sondheim invented the phrase "everything's coming up roses." It was not a thing people said; it was a thing he devised.
I was asked about the line in the original UK edition of GOOD OMENS about Demons dancing like the British Group on the Eurovision Song Contest. I meant something like this:www.tumblr.com/neil-gaiman/...

This was my copy too. It had Usher II in it, which plunged me into Poe.

That was how I wrote it and how I assumed people would read it.
I was 20 and in the closet when I read it, and it never occurred to me to take the word of two cis characters' (especially two demonstrably selfish ones) word on transness over a trans character herself. Wanda is pretty clear on who she is, and that's way before Death is part of the story.
Exactly.
I think I saw that final page and was like “that’s nice, but does it really count if it’s only a dreaWHAT COMIC ARE YOU READING OF COURSE DREAMS COUNT”

Terry Pratchett told me that the problem was that Mr Heyne (?) who actually owned the publishing company had made the Soup Advertising Deal himself personally, was v proud of it, and kept it going against the wishes of every other human being who worked for the company, not to mention the authors.
Star Trek had plenty of them too. I got a box of Star Trek novels from the Soup Era from a friend of the family’s and they really have some questionable gems.
