One of my twitter mutuals looked strikingly like this when he was young. So, I say that I painted his portrait before the fact!

I mentioned the painting we saw of Napoleon today and Ian was like โOh by Jacques-Louis David?โ and when I expressed surprised that he knew, he was like โI took art history.โ I looked him up and turns out he painted every famous French thing that Iโve ever seen so now Ian is roasting me about this.
This was the painting. I finger painted this, but it was not about the painting, it was about the process

I beheld the painting Papa did from memory. Bubbe was so beautiful, hard to believe she was the mother of two she looked so young. When I look in the mirror itโs her face I see. Some think Papa used me as a model, but he painted this before I was born. He refused to let them take her memory.

Back when I was shaving my head, this one guy kept saying I looked like Billy Zane from "The Phantom".
When I was younger, it was occasionally this guy who folks said I looked like. I approve of this one.

I learned that one week before I arrived, he had died of AIDS. His caregiver told me that in his final hour, he told the guy all about me, stating that his dying wish was to see me one final time before he passed from this world. He said that I was the kindest person he met in his entire life. 10/x

I painted this in 2017 out the back of the o2 Forum in Kentish town. I have it tattooed on my stomach, he was only one when I did this, now heโs nearly 8 ๐ซ
Fun fact: Tangerine Dream was one of the first concerts I ever went to, cause my mom took me when I was veeeery young.
My physician used to display a copy of this painting in his office. Young me was reminded of Apple Records, when I saw it. But in fact neither that label nor Apple Computer were founded when Magritte painted this. I donโt think it is prophetic in this context, but applicable. #spookyEyes
