Naismith created it at a Holyoke YMCA, but the 'yoke YMCA was too small to debut it so he debuted it in Springfield

All of this. He was on in the car when I was picked up from school, he was on in my student room when I wrote my dissertation in university, he was on when I was driving home from work.
He and his "zoo" were literally the soundtrack to my life. Incredibly sad.
Genuinely cannot find the words about Steve Wright. Far from my favourite DJ but its hit me like a ton of bricks. The guy just WAS radio to me my entire life on a medium in which people can sound the same throughout. Really incredibly sad.
I haven't seen it before, but it was brought up in a sound design class I took in college. I used to walk through Union Square when I was working at an ad firms in SF so it was interesting to go back there. I like how much Coppola features the Bay Area in his work.
I point at Bush as the force that radicalised me. I was trapped in a hotel room in Atlanta from 9/11-9/18, when he would not shut up about how all people of faith, and *only* people of faith, could save the world. He made it clear that I was not a real American in his eyes, and completely worthless.
My uncle had a HUGE console turntable in his room. I played all his records on it. He was... 20? Worked during the day, went out at night, so I just hung out in his room & listened to records when I wasn't watching reruns on TV.
I was in HEAVEN that summer. A broken arm was a small price to pay.
During one of the San Francisco WonderCons, I was hanging out with Royer and we went to some art dealer's hotel room and the guy had whole issues Kamandi original art. I could tell there was a bit of sadness in Royer as he looked through all those pages of Jack's he inked.
i was on a road trip thru the south when he died and remembered they covered up the billboards so they were all in black with his number in the middle
I saw him at the Gallifrey One convention the year he did it. I'm so glad I did: his pride at being part of it was palpable. Just him, in a chair in front of a huge room and holding us all spellbound with all his stories.
Fascinating. He did a doctorate in divinity at Hebrew Union in the 1950s when Bultmann was at his zenith, so I assume he picked up the terminology there.
When I lived in Manchester back in early 1970s, the city was black. Pretty well all of it

yeah - she was who i was backing in 2018 and went to one of her house party fundraisers thrown by a mutual friend who was at the teachers' union when i was, and it was just a whole bunch of look for the union label people all together and it was great.
It took all I have, & I do mean all, when I was packing up his room this morning to check him out of that hotel to not as I was leaving...

And so I was slightly dope sick for the concert. I was alone too.
And I was so lucky because all the other people in the VIP just kind of took me in.
And at the end of the concert Danny Carey threw his drumstick. The guy next to me (who was taller) kind of caught it before me but he let it go.
But then when I was like 18 I took a one and half year break. Like I did not care at all for cross-dressing. I thought it was behind me then in the summer of 2020 the feelings came back. I took a more internal approach not listening to others on this issue. 2/?
The theme at the club was Gothic Victorian, and a lot of people were just in all black skimpy clothes (no hate!) so I thought I took it too literally until I got a few compliments! Everyone looked great!!🖤
I get to the room find out is five people in the room instead of four, when initially I was told there was only four of us in the room. I ended up staying in my IRL roommates room all weekend. Apparently the room captain didn’t tell anyone in the room that there was gonna be five people at all.
I was the only white people in the room so I thought it was hilarious, personally

I just looked it up. His name was Ian Gibbons. He was played by Stephen Fry in the miniseries of The Dropout.
