They still haven't figured out how to fix the muted threads bug yet. 🙃

In general getting notifications from muted threads is a bug, I think it's on the roadmap to fix.

dear whoever invented bluesky. fix the notifications. if i have muted a thread or a person, i don't want notifications on the desktop, or the app. why would i? why would anybody? there's no reason for those notifications to get through.

Bluesky still working out the kinks; I muted a post I was getting a lot of notifications on and now my notifications tab is just freaking out in general.
A real negative of this app is even if you mute a thread you still keep getting push notifications on your phone even though they don't show up in your notifications on the app. So even though I muted the threads about bars yesterday, I am still getting obnoxious Prohibitionists lighting up my phone
I muted a subthread where countless folks were in my mentions with performative inanity. But it muted the whole thread, but I’m still getting notifications.

Is there a way to turn off QRT notifications here yet? Muted the thread, but I’m still getting an unwieldy amount of QRTs in my notifications tab.

@pfrazee.com are y’all working on a fix of the bug that when you mute a thread it still gives you push notifications? I’m still getting push notis on iOS for threads I’ve muted and I really need to move on with my day as they are pretty heavy threads, emotionally
Getting notifications from a muted thread is so weird lol. You see the increasing number on the bell icon, but when you click it - there are no new notifications because well, the thread is muted.
