The Ukrainian security service announced on Tuesday that it had foiled a plot to assassinate President Volodymyr Zelenskyy. It said it has detained two senior Ukrainian officials and accused them of working on behalf of Russia. Investigators said the men were colonels in the state guard service and that they have been detained on suspicion of treason. The security service also said that the plot included killing its own leader, Vasyl Maliuk, and the head of military intelligence, Kyrylo Budanov.
