(2/12) V-E Day commemorates the end of WWII. Yes, nearly 90 years later, folks are celebrating the end of the war that began and ended because of colonial and imperial interest. PSA: the “allies” were just as antisemitic as Nazi Germany. Many world leaders were Nazi sympathizers.
(3/12) They were also just as racist and transphobic as the Nazis as well. The Holocaust, in many ways, was facilitated by the actions/lack thereof of the allied parties. They are just as responsible for this genocide as the Nazi Party.
(4/12) #WorldRedCrossDay is dedicated to jerking off the Red Cross. The Red Cross has deep Christian missionary roots and continues its colonialist/imperialist ways to this day. No fucking thank you.
(5/12) Receptionists, like most administrators, work extremely hard. They are the glue keeping many businesses and institutions together. Let’s treat every day like #NationalReceptionistsDay and acknowledge/appreciate the work receptionists do.
(6/12) #InternationalThalassaemiaDay is devoted to raising awareness about thalassemia (a blood disorder that prevents the body from making enough hemoglobin). Thalassaemia is manageable with blood transfusions and chelation therapy.
(7/12) Let some of us ensure that thalassemia remains that way by removing various socioeconomic barriers to treatment.
(8/12) Vesak Day, or #BuddhaDay, is a sacred day to millions of practicing Buddhists. It marks the birth, enlightenment, and death of the Buddha. Blessed Vesak to those observing.
(9/12) #IrisDay is all about this gorgeous purple flower. Fun fact, both flowers and the colour purple have historically represented various queer folks/movements. Purple often reminds me of both bi and ACE folks.
(10/12) I did not know that #NationalOutdoorIntercourseDay existed, but I’m sure glad it does. Also, considering the theme of this day, I’d be foolish not to repeat what many sex workers have consistently said: on-street sex workers face some of the most blatant and violent whorephobia.
(11/12) Outdoor sex workers have always been at the forefront of the sex workers’ rights movement. They built it. They built it in direct response to the whorephobia they’ve faced within and outside various sex working communities.
(12/12) Decriminalize sex work and abolish whorephobia so that consenting adults can safely continue to have sex outdoors.
May 8th marks the anniversary of the official end of the Second World War in Europe in 1945, known as V-E Day (Victory in Europe day).

May 9 is celebrated as Victory Day and commemorates the Soviet victory over Nazi Germany in World War II and the formal surrender of German forces in Berlin, ending the war in Europe in 1945.
Today is Victory in Europe Day, commemorating the unconditional surrender of the nazi regime that ended World War II in Europe! Never Forget! Never Again! #VEDay #WWII #Victory #Europe #Day #NeverForget #NeverAgain
Today is Victory in Europe Day, generally known as VE Day (United Kingdom) or V-E Day (USA), is a day celebrating the formal acceptance by the Allies of World War II of Nazi Germany's unconditional surrender of its armed forces on Tuesday, 8 May 1945.
To those who gave so much, we thank you
It's not the end of the world, folks.
It's just the end of the day.
Remember WWII? Nazi Germany and Imperial Japan attacked the world. In the end, they were literally bombed into submission when they finally agreed to unconditional surrender and capitulation. When Hamas does that and returns the hostages, this war will end, not before.
I'm nearing the end, and it's because I play it for 8-12 hours a day. Fixing all of my issues with the other versions will do that.
“As of Monday, Weiland projected that there were nearly 1 million active COVID infections in the U.S. each day, with 1 in every 340 Americans becoming infected daily, and 1 in every 34 currently infected.”

This year's winter respiratory disease season was looking to be a bit of a respite from last year's—until JN.1 took off. Now, it's anyone's best guess.

Cancel that.

Armistice Day should be renamed Veteran's Day because the armistice that ended World War 1 is null and void as a result of World War 2.
About 12% of Germans at the end of WWII were members of the Nazi Party, many of whom were coerced or disagreed with much of what the Nazis did.
24% of Americans in 2023 were considered MAGA, less today.
It does not take that many to bring a nation down into madness.

I believe that the Maya were actually right and the world ended Back in 12/12/12 and rn we are just in limbo/hell
Celebrating Veteran's Day it's important to note the date marks the end of a war, once billed as "the War to End All Wars," not a celebration of military might and fascism.
This is the last week of the drive . It concludes end of day Monday 12/4
