An undead nobleman investing in English real estate does kind of seem like a comic premise.
Romeo and Juliet was actually intended to be a comedy.
i thought it would be funny but it's actually just depressing but i guess in a kind of funny way
This is why Romeo and Juliet is actually a comedy. The whole thing is grimly funny
in one of the DLCs jesse gets sucked into the visual novelification of baz luhrmann's ROMEO + JULIET and she has to play the part of romeo to escape and it's actually kind of emotionally gutting
Sergei - It's alright I guess but it's not a banger like Romeo and Juliet
It’s blowing my mind that Shakespeare intended Romeo and Juliet to be a comedy mind fuck and could just as easily ended with “oh you crazy kids!”
Moore's take on that is very funny:
"I wanted to kind of make this like, 'Yeah, this is what Batman would be in the real world'. But I had forgotten that actually to a lot of comic fans, that smelling, not having a girlfriend—these are actually kind of heroic! "
its always funny when someone at work finds out I make a comic and they're like "oh what kind of comic is it?" And I struggle to explain what kind of comic this is supposed to be
It was definitely intended to be cute. And I don't think it was an accident she included a notoriously incomprehensible 800 page book in this comic.
Honestly, I find it pretty funny, but it's a different kind of humor than in most Cathy comics I've encountered.
Poly stuff does seem like kind of a pain in the ass to manage, to be fair.
It intended to do a Romeo and Juliet-style false death.
Also Romeo & Juliet is a raunchy teen sex comedy for like half of its runtime
It's funny. Does this diagram, from an architectural history paper, make it seem like a profound and aesthetically sensitive activity, or like some kind of stamp collecting?
i remember watching baz luhrmann's romeo and juliet in i think 3rd form english, which is funny because it's R18.
It does. It's kind of an underline highlight. Not what I intended.
Well, that seems kind of legit. Not like a Real Estate agent running an HD.
I must be getting old because Romeo and Juliet in Romeo + Juliet look like absolute babies!
And yeah, it does seem like kind of an overreach but it's also kind of hard to put into words why telling someone to smile is a social faux-pas
