apnews.comIn the past week, DOJ has announced that Boeing breached its deferred prosecution agreement based on its actions since the 737Max crashes in 2021. Boeing's shareholders think that deserves a pay bump as a reward as the CEO leaves the company.
Shareholders of embattled airplane maker Boeing approved a pay package of nearly $33 million for outgoing CEO Dave Calhoun.
That’s the highest package ever paid to the company’s CEO and a 45% increase from the $22.6 million he received for 2022. The majority of the bump comes from a stock bonus.

Would be nice if this caused the DOJ to revisit their "deferred prosecution" deal and actually throw the Boeing CEO in jail, but what's more likely to happen is the DOJ will give an extra stern finger-wag before going back to letting Boeing regulate themselves again.
So perhaps Boeing makes unsafe planes because of woke DEI or perhaps, just maybe, it's because the last time they killed a bunch of people just five years ago they got away with it and not a single manager or executive responsible was prosecuted?
Boeing's deferred prosecution agreement with the DOJ was set to expire just days after Alaska Airlines lost a door mid-flight on a new Max model.
