Students have always imagined that disagreeing with their lecturers lowers their marks. It's wonderful to read a well done critique of your own position. Sadly, most students lose marks because of their technical challenges with writing and argumentation, not because a lecturer doesn't 'like' it
The measure would require the regents to set up a department to hear grade challenges based on bias. That department would be staffed by volunteers who could determine there was bias and could order the faculty member to regrade the student’s assignment or reevaluate the student’s overall grade.
Legislation approved by Senate would give university students a new avenue to appeal by alleging "political bias". Teachers could be ordered to change grades.

Just to follow up on this - for students going to UC, Te Whatu Ora have a pop-up clinic on 16 Feb and I've just been told *ALL STUDENTS* will be eligible to get meningococcal vaccines there (as well as HPV and MMR vaccines if they haven't already had them)
