That is honestly very adorable. โค๏ธ They sound like they are so concerned about you!
Honestly? Yes.
I have not yet had the company of a cat who did not ultimately end up becoming a bathroom supervisor.
It's kind of adorable, honestly.
UBI would mean I don't need to work 2 jobs just to afford day to day bills AND get 3 nutritious hot meals, rather than having to choose between bills and food.
๐๐ข Call to action, make a post about and include the words โuniversal basic incomeโ
๐๐ป Share how a #UBI would help you or others. โ๐ป
Okay cat. I love you. You are the fuzzy light of my life.
You do NOT need to supervise bathroom time. I promise. The toilet will not eat me. Really. It won't.
*MIAOW*
Oh FINE then...
I can promise you that your art does not in any way suck. It is quite wonderful. โค๏ธ๐๐
As are you. Very much so. ๐
That's what Mozilla will get if they can't get their heads in the game...
Granted, the crypto thing is driving me away from Brave, but right now I eye ungoogled-chromium if they keep Manifest v2 support.
It looks like the Windows version can only work via Windows Hello?

Unless this is really out of date.
Awww, well I am happy to be posting things you find helpful and interesting! โค๏ธ
None of this is on you. He's an asshole with that kind of response - that's not an indictment of you in any way, I promise.
Be your proud self and fuck him for his bullshit.
I think it's very possible that you won't need Windows 11 at all when the time comes.
I feel like I'm starting to become the Bluesky Linux Bear in some ways. ๐คฃ Maybe doing a bit too much posting about tech stuff and the horrors of (and escapes from) Big Tech and all. ๐คฃ
Oh my goodness YES; holy mackerel thank you so much!!! โค๏ธโค๏ธโค๏ธโค๏ธโค๏ธ
This affects any Linux distribution using the listed kernels.
I would keep your eyes open for security updates from your distro in the near future.
I'd love diner reviews if I had ones around here to talk about. ๐คฃ
I'm not thinking gaming as much as stuff like actual technology articles - security, new tech, that sort of thing.
They rely on advertising for their income, so anything that limits or blocks ad blockers is something they have a very strong interest in forcing on people.
It's the same with stuff like DNS-over-HTTPS so people can't block ads at the DNS level.
Oh man I enjoy some good AM radio if you can find a good broadcaster!!!
But also, I'd love to do a tech news focused podcast. Take a handful of articles, talk about them, that sort of thing.
There are Chromium-based browsers, as well as (my recommendation for now) Firefox, that are NOT depreciating Manifest v2 (the thing that allows ad and malware blockers to work).
Please consider any of those browsers - don't let Google throw you back into the world of ads and easy malware delivery.
Chrome's Manifest V3 transition is here. First up are warnings for any V2 extensions.

Even a broad category would be a place to start.
My thing is, I'm not sure how to contribute in any podcast space in any meaningful way. I'm happy to talk shop about things, but the question boils down to if anyone would even want to hear it.
I am 110% down for a podcast. Have been. It could be quite fun if we've got stuff to sort of center it around.
Mostly just a notice for any Linux sysadmins (like me! Hi!) to stay on top of kernel updates and make sure we monitor our systems for any signs of being exploited, that's all. โค๏ธ
I don't think I like streaming much (I never know what to do and I want to spend more of it chatting rather than playing) but sometimes it's nice to just play a game and hang out with people, like the old couch with friends days.
Yeah, this is mostly a concern for sysadmins who have systems with multiple active system users, more than individuals. โค๏ธ
It's not a huge deal - someone already needs some level of access to your machine to exploit this.
Just stay on top of your distro's updates and all will be okay! โค๏ธ
But in your case, I would just wait for the security updates to roll in.
To even exploit this, someone already has to be in your system to start - so likely you'll be safe for the short period before it's all patched away. โค๏ธ
(I'm in the office so I can't take pictures, but)
In the update manager, one of the toolbar dropdowns should say something like "Linux Kernels". That will open a new window that will have selectors on the left & a bunch on the right.
That will tell you what ones you have installed & what's active.
It sure looks like it can be fun to me!
I'd give QueenPiB (referenced above) a follow then if you like retro stuff like that; she does a lot of it on her channel and she's heading into Hot Retro Summer so it'll be packed full of stuff like that.
Linux folks, this is a privilege escalation bug that needs to be patched ASAP if you're affected by this.
Per the article, it's kernel versions 5.14 through 6.6 - be sure to keep an eye on your distribution's update manager for security patches!
Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency urges affected users to update ASAP.

I feel like I want to livestream a run again soon.
Just for the heck of it, you know?
I contemplated trying to speedrun The Messenger at one point, but I saw something neat that @queenpib.com did with a game called Faxanadu.
You may never speedrun, but "go fast and play well" is more than enough if it's giving you enjoyment.
So that's what I try to do. Just go fast and have fun.

For a long, long time my comfort game was Sim City (SNES).
Then I discovered The Messenger, and somehow THAT has become my comfort game.
It's odd how things can change like that, and to not even know the reason why...

I can't speak for elsewhere, but at least on Bluesky, there is a *very* robust moderation system and people who don't want to see certain things have more than enough ways to filter it out, honestly.
You have my attention and I wish to subscribe to your newsletter. ๐คฃโค๏ธ๐
I've always been a huge proponent of combining everything in one spot unless you have specific reasons that you can't (such as like with teachers where private acts can have actual job consequences such as job loss).
This could be an entire extended universe situation where suddenly you have rival schools, and "lust battles" to see who can TF their partner(s) into the most enticing thing as decided by the audience...
...oh I like the possibilities of where this can go.
