The very missed Sardine Can in Gastown did it the best. But it certainly wasn't three bucks and you had to get there early to get a table.
Sometime in the early aughts I was tasked with stat analysis using SPSS.
It was awful.
I envy you your software!
It’s certainly innovative to me. I don’t have to write and mail cheques every month. I don’t have to leave the house to pay my bills. Bonus: I now pay off my credit card every time I use it. My bank hasn’t had a dime of interest from me in years!
uBlock origin has been doing this for me for a long time!
If you didn't try to participate in fixing the problem, what gives you the right to bitch about the problem?
Voting for a person who can fix a problem is the only form of participation most people have.
By law they can’t spell out the benefits of the drug without also spelling out the side effects.
As for Ozempic, please folks don’t use it for weight loss, there’s a shortage for diabetics. (Use Weygovy instead)
Ditto!

If the NFL really wanted to distance itself from his comments, they would fire his homophobic, misogynistic ass!

I already thought this movie gave off so many bad vibes. I mean it reeks of Ayn Rand. Plus Jon Voight! 🤢
I've been using Overcast for a few years and quite like it. You have to pay to get rid of the small onscreen ads, but I don't bother since I spend almost no time actually looking at the app.

I tried it (drove to Toronto on a learners permit), and I really hated it. I never got a license and it's never been an issue.
Jesus wept!
What actually is medicine? Witchcraft? Guessing?
Oh boy, the stuff I have to look forward to!
Apparently it causes all sorts of bone issues and can be hell on blood sugar as well.
I'm sorry you have to take it <3
My god that's awful!
So does he think it's better to be dead? (Folks with COPD often have to take it to avoid more extreme measures such as a ventilator in icu. I've been lucky so far, but I'm sure one day I'll have to take it.)
I don't post to IG because it's photo based and I'm not much of a photo taker.
But I do follow folks on there and I simply never use any section but the "following" page. I do NOT want to see strangers shit, that's what BlueSky is for.
90% of what I'm looking at is comedy, art, science or food.
It's Italy:

I watched a freaking 10 minute video yesterday and it turned out all I needed to know was Ctrl-Shift-F!!!! 🤬
I'm so happy that recipes have "jump to recipe" links. I really don't need the authors life story.
Now if only instructions for things could be in bullet points and have a jump link at the top!
Videos are rarely needed. Use a screen shot instead if helpful. /2
Ahh, ok. I get it 😀
Yeah, me too. I basically only wear Crocs and Blundstones now. I did get myself these "fancy" Crocs recently, just in case I'm ever invited to a wedding or something. Warning, I had to go larger than my usual Croc size for these.
(Sorry for being snippy)
Or what anyone looks like.
Yes I'm old, but I didn't care about fashion when I was in my 20s either.
It's just so much effort with zero practical purpose.
(No knocks for those that like fashion, just please knocking us that don't care)
Maybe stop giving a crap what I look like and let me not be in pain?

She is adorable. You both win the internet today!
I've seen folks get upset at this.
The response is often along the lines of "I blocked that person for a reason, I don't want to see them at all, not even in a screenshot"
So I would do this with care.

We've been cleaning house.
Putting stuff by the curb has been working for us.
People will pick up anything!
Yesterday - three large bags of stuffed animals from my childhood - gone in an hour!
Funny thing, I didn't read the post as "Roe v. Wade WASN'T a compromise", but apparently you did.
Maybe you need new glasses.
It's not going last anything near that long in the Vancouver area. Just a sliver of the sun will be covered.
In any case I'm off tomorrow, so I'll probably still be asleep at eclipse time. Plus I was lucky enough to catch it the last time. Now that was an eclipse!
That missing comma packs a punch!
I've had chocolate wine. Do NOT recommend!

I once purposely planted Broom in my front yard. But then I think it's pretty.
Nirvana formed when I was 21and I'm just shy of 60!
Oh, and when they were starting their gig as one of the most boring bands of my young adulthood, Chaya Raichik was -8.
My experience as an almost boomer is that it's young people that tend to blast their music in public.
I've been using noise cancelling headphones in public for about 10 years now. Because it's polite and because then I don't have to listen to other people's music.
As a library worker, I'm not paid enough to work till midnight.
As I commented on the NYT post. She CHOSE to be a royal. She could have walked away. With that choice she kissed her privacy goodbye.
I'm sorry she has cancer. Just like I'm sorry than anyone has cancer.
But as for the rest. She CHOSE to become a royal. That comes with a heavy cost, including losing a LOT of privacy. So any jokes that come with that are fair game.
