When I first started using Affinity’s software my biggest problem was finding the tool I needed to complete a task. It’s like someone snuck into my studio and rearranged where I keep my pens and pencils
Thanks for the #artshare Vael!
I’m Dug, a surrealist working in traditional pen and color pencil, some digital and polymer clay
I’m a slow learner, but years ago it finally dawned on me that I could use whatever software I wanted as long as the final piece was exported in a standard usable format I was able to escape Adobe’s money grabbing ways. Affinity has been great
I totally get that. I’m having a bit of the “creative vapor lock’ myself. How bad? Spent part of an evening staring at a blank page wondering why I even bother. My motor is running but I can’t get into gear
I would be open to the idea of doing that again, but after many years of a graphics career and side quests as a grown-up (raising 2kids, being a homeowner) I don’t have any art available for trade. All my drawing is either digital or in sketchbooks and the sculptures aren’t finished yet
Kind of looks like the lawnmower version of a Cybertruck, but in a good way
I have a cousin who spent a few years as a derby girl. Tore up a knee doing it 😢
Back in the day I would trade art for art. I highly recommend it!
If you wear it through the car wash splurge on the no wax shine. You deserve it 💕
Dammit, Jill! You’re playibg with fire. You’ll be drawn back into the topsy turvy world of roller derby in no time, even though you gave it up years ago after that tragic incident
Affinity has options for exporting your files as PDFs. It's very nice, I like it 😁

It’s Thursday, you know what to do!
I present to you an older piece. Using Albrecht Duer’s engraving of an Indian rhino this 12 x 14 x 8 polymer clay sculpture is from 1997

If they haven’t already, Michiganders, especially those near lakeside communities, may soon see swarms of mayflies, aka fish flies. While annoying, they’re harmless. The same can’t be said for another...
www.bridgemi.comCheck the crawl space! Maybe it’s out behind the garage? Is that it over there, by the vegetable patch?
🙄 I meant like a hashtag, but was trying to be hip and cool about it (dang smart-aleck kids…)

Hey Bluesky! Our son graduates high school today (with honors), could ya'll give me a hand and fill his feed with congratulations and perhaps some words of wisdom?
@samlikesharks.bsky.social
Thanks!!
“Otger things” is thieves’ cant for “other things”. 🙄 too many typos, I need to stop scrolling for the night
You could include them with otger things, like a little swag. Or maybe use them like a business card?
39 and up Bluesky - Drop a puc with your age
58!?! That can’t be right, I certainly don’t act like I’m that old 🪦
I like to dump some potpourri in my bag of holding every so often

“Pandora’s Box” is a pen and ink drawing on 9x12 sketchbook paper from 21 January 1991. It was a study for a printmaking class.
