If you're always choosing between the lesser of two evils, you're not in a democracy - you're in a hostage situation. I don't blame folks who view picking the lesser of two evils as harm reduction and I sure as shit don't blame people for opting out of the hostage situation altogether.
And if/when Biden loses, will people like this blame non-voters more than they blame Biden for his choices? Because why is it never on the Dems to be better?
I always wonder if folks who say stuff like this are putting any pressure on Biden to be a better candidate. Because scolding people for not wanting to vote for a genocidal racist doesn't strike me as very persuasive organizing.
It's fair if you spend more time complaining about Biden than you do about the GOP.
The system may suck, but you're not changing it between now and January 20th.
Biden is a genocidal PoS, but of the two genicidal PoSs who might be taking the POTUS oath, he's the less odiforous.
That's reality.
Something I really try to get my students to let go of is that internal cop that judges social justice/social action work as "enough" or "not enough." I feel like that's capitalism and white supremacy fucking with us, tricking us into embracing a harmful binary.
I do the Flonase. Fewest side effects for me and it seems to actually help with allergies

"Hold On, I'm Coming" by Sam and Dave. Absolute classic. Also, it scientifically impossible to be unhappy during the chorus of "Ruby Soho" by Rancid.
It will be a really great day in U.S. media if/when we decide to stop platforming war criminals and aspiring war criminals
Although, that said, may all of us one day be as loved by anyone as Brené Brown is by white lady social workers.
I have changed a lot in my life but one thing that has stayed consistently true about me is a deep and abiding hatred of "Waiting on the World to Change" by John Mayer.
The fucking CIA, an organization that loves murder more than it loves food.
And if/when Biden loses in November, Dems will blame people who didn't vote for him instead of blaming him for being a blood-thirsty piece of shit.
So the fucking CIA says we need a ceasefire immediately because children are starving. Biden is going against his own CIA director at this point. Anyone else want to tell me how great a job he’s doing?
And: if we as a society had listened to what she was trying to tell us in her writing, things would be a helluva lot better right now.
Octavia E. Butler was undiagnosed with dyslexia. Teachers said she was ‘lazy and did not try hard enough.’.. She reframed the narrative of disability by believing herself to be a genius & highly capable and began to create richly speculative narratives to reimagine race, disability, and gender.
Katie Heffner is a PhD candidate in the School of History researching the social and cultural history of women in science fiction fandoms. Her work explores how women in science fiction communities articulated and fabulated science and technology in the early Cold War.
blogs.kent.ac.ukTo be 100% honest, as a person with no small about of knowledge about poverty and poverty policy, if I could simply "impose" my views on said policy, I would do it and you would all know I had done it because poverty would be over.
Fucking racist assholery from the House today.
WASHINGTON (AP) — House censures Rep. Rashida Tlaib over her rhetoric about Israel, rebuking the only Palestinian American in Congress.
🤣 So teach your kids to obey Jesus or the Devil will teach them to be awesome.
