Longlegs, Cuckoo, MaXXXine, Alien: Romulus, those four are the ones I am very excited for.
It's definitely so far the best horror movie of the year imo Although there are a couple coming in the second half that look like they could take the crown
Incredibly erotic film! It's hard to do genuine eroticism, it can be awkward or exploitative at times but here it's just *chefs kiss* sexy as hell
Oh wait it's the champions league final tonight, let's put that on hold.
That he is lol. I remember Vincent Gallo saying how Ferrara would be high on crack and trying to steal stuff from people's bag on set of The Funeral
I'll need to read all the things you've mentioned here, the original and the screenplay of it
So, this is how 2024 releases are looking for me so far this year. Including a horror specific ranking.
Sting is flawed B-movie fun, I am maybe being a little easy on it, but it scratched an itch. I want more films like this. 🎥 boxd.it/6AJWQ7 🎥 #Filmsky
Now sitting down to a film I've been anticipating for a while Sting (2024, Australia, USA) - Kiah Roache-Turner 📽️ #Filmsky
Ms. 45 is an exploitation masterpiece that I adore more each time I watch it. 🎥 boxd.it/6AJNWv 🎥 #Filmsky
It's incredibly brave film making to start your uplifting kid's film with the world's saddest short story. Although for me the essentially silent opening section to Wall-E is the most astonishing thing Pixar have done
haha nice one, I think a few shots in particular will really creep you out then
Since it's pride month, my favourites for this month are films with queer themes or just being LGBT cult classics. 🎥 #Filmsky
Totally fair! I am just happy to see creature features doing well, I want more of this sort of stuff.
Dance sequences definitely better in Climax. I did love that one dance where her body is linked to the other girl and her body gets snapped and broken, it's good horror.
I might move it to the top of watchlist you know, I've always been very interested in the world of Fifty Shades
She does, but they like give her a teddy and a short skirt and that's like it, it's kinda embarrassing
Suspiria is the only other film I can think of, and she's fine in that
Very funny how they try and lass Sweeney off as a teen girl as well lol
Got some second hand blu rays. Rogue Nation wasn't priced so they just said 3 quid to make it all a round ten. Can't argue.
Yeah, a spider horror is a chance to really go for it, I wanted to see a swarm just go down one person's orifice and it be a real bad time for them
Haha okay sweet, I do like tubi, seen a bunch of good more obscure flicks on there
It still doesn't get as big as I'd like but he is a big boy. I really wish in Infested that the scene in the car park right at the end, where a giant swarm attacks the cops. I really wanted giant, car length sized legs to come through that door first, just one huge fella, causing havoc
The villain is probably the worst villain in comic book film history, which is saying something
It's honestly fascinating in its own way. It's remarkable how wrong it is. Every decision is a head scratcher.
Thank you, I'll add it to the watchlist, I don't mind the odd convenience or even plot hole if the film is fun enough
Hmmm, I mean I'm not too fussed by spiders in my day to day. I think it makes good use of how a giant spider would be creepy. As a B-movie creature feature, it's solid.
Oh basically straight away when the information was revealed. Especially didn't ring true for the character specifically. What was the film you were watching?
Some of it doesn't make a lick of sense, like an exterminator turning up to a place in the middle of an ice storm to the same place that four days earlier paid him only half his fee, but w.e, it's fun.
Quick thoughts. A pretty solid spider horror, I wish it went for the gore and squeamish potential a little more but still enjoyed this. Definitely the superior one of the two spider based horrors released this year

To be blunt it's the take only someone who isn't very smart and deeply incurious could make
I take that back, the guy Rambo shoots with the LMG in Rambo, that's the most deadest guy I've seen
Oh Jesus yeah. So brutal, he gets absolutely fucked up, never seen a guy made deader
You know you're in for a good time when Isaac Hayes is singing his own theme tune
The hospital shootout is incredible and it culminates in one of my all time favourite death scenes. That scene really caught me off guard, it's so haunting and bleak
She is so good in it, she does almost steal the whole show, but then you get Yaphet Kotto on top of all this? Truly we were spoiled with that one
