I am a revolutionary act. A dance full of splinters and bones.
Adoptee, artist, gamer, baker of bread, voracious reader, occasional knitter, lapsed yogi, made in Detroit. I was once flipped off by Johnny Rotten.

I tried to limp along an old old version of Photoshop for years, but I finally lost it with one of my computer upgrades. The subscription/cloud shit just pisses me off. Just let me buy the program and be done and I'll upgrade when/if I want.
I know, preachin' to the choir.
I will also say that I cancelled my Adobe subscription yesterday. Too much $ and I haven't been using the programs much lately. When I want it again (and I will) I'll get a student subscription since I'm taking a college class in the fall with my daughter. That will at least help w/cost for a year.
I avoided the *#(&$@# Adobe subscription for years and bought Affinity Photo & Designer. They worked for the most part, but I still came up against things I wanted to do that weren't possible or easy w/Affinity. I finally buckled & subscribed to Adobe. This was in 2021 so maybe things have changed.
You're ready to start making anthotypes! Scan your prints and keep them out of direct sunlight.

Yeah, that's one I never bother trying. I also never got into any of the club drugs. Maybe I aged out or had already finished my hard drug phase. ::shrug::
I am questioning how well this coffee is working
ugh, migraines are the worst! Hope you feel better soon.
Punk Auntie recommends a mocha frap and some fries - cold, caffeine, and salt FTW (sorry, didn't mean to yell 🤫)

I want to do ALL THE THINGS, which makes it hard to actually do ANY OF THE THINGS.
Yes. It has a slower vibe than other games I've played recently, but I'm enjoying the story and loving Red's voice!
My 16yo daughter just got a knife and is starting to whittle. What it the title of the book you are using?
And she will definitely be creating haunted beasts of the night 😉
"I passed out at a Circle Jerks show and all I got was this lousy t-shirt"
"I was almost crushed to death trying to buy a t-shirt at an Adam Ant show and " - well I lost that t-shirt.
Oh I do (and picked up on the ignorant ass thing right away)
I'm old and saw all the best shows! Wish I had t-shirts for all of them.
Maybe I'll make some:
"I was flipped off by Johnny Rotten and I'll I got was this lousy t-shirt"
I am currently wearing my Nirvana t-shirt.

media.giphy.com@scalzi.com I just finished reading Redshirts and I totally wasn't expecting to cry at the end!
Ok, I was totally thinking in terms of art mediums I cycle through. But yes, I get that there are certain things you wouldn't want to drop. I've stopped working out again and am having a hell of a time getting back to it. It's hard to keep those 'good for you' practices going.
I am still relatively new to the whole I might be ADHD or AuDHD thing, and it is fascinating to look at things I already knew about myself through that new lens.
I don't think I would bother avoiding new things because I already know that I'll stop the new thing for something else soon enough.
My family went to the in-laws on Wed night, and it has taken me until this morning as they are driving home to start painting and turn the music up to ungodly volumes.
I hope the neighbors like my old punk mix!

Yes! I always said we had the best food in Detroit. I have been able to find good gyros, & recently found a great Lebanese place, but no chili dog will ever come close to a coney.
And I miss the Polish Village Cafe in Hamtramck. damn, now I am hungry
Without taxing my brain too much this morning, I think I moved to California in 91, I probably just missed them! 😞
oh man, that Asian Corned Beef thing must have happened after I moved out of state. Damn, now I have to miss something I never even had.
I would also kill for a coney right now.
Hmm, I had never really considered my feelings for green women before, but I'm goin to say I'm all for green women love! Hera rocks and love is love.
You comment just triggered that Lost in Space memory for me.
I'll probably be cooing "Doctor Smith" all day now.
oof, maybe I'm aging myself with the Lost in Space reference. First green girl I remember. And I'm pretty sure that show traumatized me more than once as a kid.
"Still punk as fuck" as I refill my blood pressure medicine.
Pulled my copy of Stardust by@neilhimself.neilgaiman.com from the bookcase this morning and found this old Polaroid inside.
Yikes! Well, I wasn't planning a reread so I'll just file that info away somewhere and wish people weren't such shitbags. ::sigh::
I also loved Mists of Avalon. I haven't heard anything about the author, do I even want to know?
Our week with Eric is over and the house is way too quiet. I can't image anyone one else who could stay with you for a week and at the end you still don't want them to leave! We had a chill week of doing a lot of nothing and it was perfect.
Oh, and we met in 9th grade, not 10th! My memory is shit.
My oldest and dearest friend Eric is flying out from Detroit to stay with us for a week! It's been at least 5 years since our last visit and I so excited to get to hang with him again. Here we are in 10th grade, the year we met. Babies!
I don't know if I'd use "adorable", maybe "horrible", or "deplorable" or "please let me melt into the floor-able"
