"And in recent news, the global tater-tot subsidy has been increased by 2,500%..."
Gosh, I'm a longish-haired man with a beard, but I haven't done a recent self-portrait (I should get on that...)
Gosh, he is in *everything* these days, isn't he? Bloody hell, he was in 2 Ridley Scott films IN A ROW.
Kudzu is pure nightmare fuel. It's like something from a Jeff VanderMeer book. Almost nothing can stop the stuff and as climate change progresses, its range is increasing.
Curiously, I’m going to be in Wisconsin in June. Is this anywhere near Appleton?
Hmm. I definitely like cream soda, but I’m unwilling to compare the two. Totally different flavors.
Cream soda and vanilla ice cream make for a damned good “float”.
Going to be provocative now...hold on to your hats.
Seagram's ginger ale is superior to Canada Dry and both are superior to Vernor's.
(Come and have a go if you think you're hard enough!)
THE REVENANT is kind of a crap movie, but the bear attack scene is utterly bloodcurdling.
It depends but I'm very flexible. You can reach me at my portfolio site and I'd be delighted to give you details. www.dlbowman76.com
There's a stinky Danish cheese that I quite like called Esrom. Apart from being delicious, I also like that "Esrom" is Morse spelled backwards.
This is why "pungent" is such a useful word. It doesn't mean that something has a hot flavor or odor, it means a *powerful* flavor or odor. There are pungent cheeses that have no heat but smell of a teenaged boy's gym shoes.
I very much like this. Having sold over a hundred illustrations, including five original book covers, it has made me love books even more than I already did.
Sapristi! What a data point!
Elon Musk spent $44 billion on Twitter more or less so he could prevent me from pointing out things like the fact that Tesla is regularly being sued five times a day now.
You might think I'm joking.
I am not joking.
Five. Times. A. Day.

Tesla, Inc. litigation, intellectual property, attorneys, sec filings, and other public records.
www.plainsite.orgMEN...annoyed me. There's a lot in it that I really like but the ending drove me to distraction. It is *NOT* a feminist film, but I do think that Garland was very interested in the ideas of Carl Jung when he wrote it.
I'm like Batman. I was bitten by a radioactive bat, and now I need to get a series of painful vaccinations.
I'm like batman I slide down polls and clowns don't like me
MANHUNTER is such a strange, wonderful masterpiece. William Petersen has this curiously *off* vibe that totally works for Will Graham, and Michael Mann's austere, chilly tone is absolutely perfect. Now I want to rewatch it.
Did you know that Thomas the Tank Engine came to a terrible end in Bradford? He was doing the Leeds run...sadly, he was chuffed to bits.
I live in Indiana. We generally disapprove of nice things with a subtly muttered "ope".
1) Humidity and curls
2) Please cast me in your forthcoming Quatermass adaptation. I can handle Received Pronunciation given a week’s notice.
I would very much like a pair of these, though I have a suspicion that if I were to wear them, several people of my acquaintance would turn up on my doorstep...
*HOWEVER*
Some kids, it must be said, are little jerks. BUT, they can grow up and learn to be better.
Humans are quite messy.
I have a deep and abiding hatred of cruel bullies. But that isn't something that someone is, it is how they behave and treat others. I have great love for all of my fellows provided they are kind to one another.
Bigotry is *certainly* a taught thought pattern. Kids don't automatically learn how to hate an ethnic or religious group, they are taught that by their parents.
Is the default mode of humanity that we are fundamentally cruel and are taught to be kind or that we are basically kind and taught to be cruel?
I don't have an answer for this.
Actually *happy* with the current drawing. The model is very tall and has strong features, and I think (hope) I'm nailing them for once.
If Captain Scarlet and Gordon Brown were to combine forces, the result would be Harvey Mudd.
(This dad joke is dedicated to all my nerdy painter friends out there.)
Being comfortable with one's sexuality is having the ability to state that a person of one's gender (or any gender for that matter) is beautiful.
The powers that be have literally engineered an economy that significantly disincentivizes having children.
This will have interesting long-term consequences.
Working on a sketch of Granny Goodness from the DC comics for a friend and it's *tricky*. I don't know lots of women my height (I'm 6'2") and I don't want to make her grotesque. Severe but handsome is my target.
If you, like me, are over six feet tall, you know that narrow staircases are out to get you.
