Iโve never understood why anyone would do this. To throw out an uninvited critique is not being helpful, and I imagine another motive is at play, maybe fear.
Like you said, critique is a great tool when you are asking peers for honest feedback.

An almost comically perfect example of why I've grown tired of my field, I found the "product design" channel and it's a non-stop stream of people complaining about animated GIFs.
Not a few, I stopped scrolling after a while because that's all it was. This is #UX

This is a color correction technique Iโm playing with. Not sure. I think it hits hard, but loses impact with each view.

What I am having trouble with is when people refer to an #AI generated image as #photography. It is not a photograph, it is not a painting, it is not a drawing.
It can be art. It is from the mind of the person doing to work to generate it. But I feel calling it photography is a step too far.
In the discussion around #AI, I find myself remembering when I discovered Joshua Davis in the early 2000s. His style of art was panned by some as being done by computers. And yet he kept making beautiful work that others couldn't copy.

I just discovered the web interface for Bluesky. I might start using this a bit more now.

It is ridiculous how many good movies came out that year. Looking it up makes me shake my head in disbelief.
I would have emphatically said Matrix but oh, wait, Fight Club, Being John Malkovich, Austin Powers, Sixth Sense, Office Space, Entrapment, Mystery Men, American Beauty, Run Lola Runโฆ

I posted a video about my short time with the DJI Osmo Pocket 3 and let's just say, I'm smitten with this piece of tech.
