My one time in Vegas I saw one of these and the group I was with didn’t want to go in, and my regret will live on forever.
One of my great joys in parenting is my oldest getting into metal. Started with Metallica (from stranger things even if I’ve had it on since he was born), now I get questions like “have you ever heard this?” followed by Number of the Beast or Symphony of Destruction.
I really liked Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes and appreciated that the only other people in the theater were a 70+ year old mom and her two adult kids who had taken advantage of the popcorn and Prosecco that was offered to everyone buying tickets for Mamma Mia today.
THE NORTHERN LIGHTS ARE VISIBLE FROM MY HOUSE.
Sorry for screaming but this and the eclipse in one year, holy shit.
For me (in construction management) it is someone who works with or has worked with me on a project. I’d use coworker for someone who works for the same company as me but I haven’t worked with them directly.
Homer's ghost : Marge you gotta help me, I have to do one good deed to get into heaven.
Marge : Well I got a whole list of chores: clean the garage, paint the house...
Homer's ghost : Whoa whoa whoa. I'm just trying to get in, I'm not running for Jesus.
I’m 41 and all of my kids friends are some variation of “boss” or “champ”. All i ask for in life is no new names to remember so I appreciate his service.
@austinwalker.bsky.social sorry but was yelling in the car about the AMCA Honda civic discussion. Specifically the ones still in use once the X-Wing had taken over. starwars.fandom.com/wiki/Z-95_He...
I'm going to be sitting in a Z-95 cockpit wearing an EVA suit, and you want to sit on my lap? Worry less about being left behind and more about making certain the concussion missiles are fitted with t...
starwars.fandom.comThe liquid ant baits are the only ones that have ever done anything for me as far as actually reducing the amount of the fuckers in my house. It’s just very hard to not smush them those first few days the traps are out.
I went in to my local store (a fleet feet) at 350+ and not only did they make me feel welcome they found me shoes that make it so I don’t want to die when I walk/“run”. Or at least not want to die in the feet/legs region.
I received my bus tub for the new place - it makes such a difference cleaning up the boys rooms with 20 partially full glasses or after a get together. True game changer. I’m holding back from full dad energy and not using it after dinner or while guests are over, but the siren song calls.
This was great and I very much enjoyed the tags on ig coming straight from her eyes.
Screaming crying throwing up. So amazed with @edsbs.bsky.social @hollyanderson.bsky.social and everyone putting together the #charitibundibowl. Spite-based charity is the best charity.
For my Michigan friends that aren’t on the other site. Do with it what you will #CharitibundiBowl
Giving myself a little reminder each month that Michigan did in fact go 15-0 and win a national championship in football. #CharitibundiBowl
Just got back from a middle school track meet. That started at 4. Need to recalibrate expectations from the in and out in under an hour that was cross country. Still very fun to watch the youngest run, just need to wear better shoes.
I love my 2013 fusion, even as it’s acting up a little at 170k miles. I’m not sure what I’m going to replace it with now that they stopped making them, but am trying to finish up my next year or two of my long commute (130 miles) with it and hopefully have a more reasonable one for my next vehicle.
Dawn, this was really touching and hit me at just the right time. I’m cooking an actual dinner and cleaning up some even if the boys are at their moms this weekend and it’s just for me. Keep fighting, keep kicking ass, you’re worth it.
I’d take a small hammer and tap (or big screwdriver and poke) at all of the rustiest spots and around the hanging hardware just to make sure it’s only surface rust. If it passes that test, I’d go with sanding and rust primer as mentioned by others.
Boys were home sick today, so we drove to Ohio to get the full eclipse. Pictures don’t do it justice, but I had two teenagers losing their minds in glee with me at how cool it was.
It seemed to make sense at the time because the bar was loud so I had to lean in really close to hear and yes it does sound worse the more I review it.
I didn’t realize Atwater got bought by Miller. Check those labels, friends.
You’ve posted this, I’ve laughed at the stories it brought, and here I am realizing the woman I was talking to at the bar a few weeks ago who held on to my hand the entire conversation and mentioned how both her hands fit in one of mine may have been interested in exchanging more than pleasantries.
My excel friend at work retired five years ago and I think about/miss her at least once a month.
My boys are old enough I have to convince them to skip school and watch this with me. Worth it?
See, construction management works great as well because they either accept it at face value or assume nefarious intent, either way no follow up questions.
I’ve made the switch to “will not have phone or email access until my return” and damn, the immense feeling of power.
Single dad so it throws off the equation a bit, but gas, drinks (alcoholic and non), laundry/dishwashing/garbage bag type things that I have room for a larger size of. I don’t honestly do much grocery shopping except lunch stuff for the kids there but it still pays for itself on the other things.
