www.youtube.comBack in the day I remember once seeing a (very) annotated edition of Dracula in my then local library that had recipes in it. A lot of them.
Then film them in a long slow motion shot to make it even more obvious.
Good to see Dr Who bringing back the tradition of using a stunt person who's a totally different body type to the actor they are replacing plus being bulked up with padding and then just sticking a copy of the costume and wig on them and hoping that'll do.
The 'Karen Council' harpist is called Robyn Hearts and she's got an insta and tik tok
Hope this continues if it gets a wide screen release and some poor lowly paid cinema usher is dragooned into it, flatly reading the question off a card each and every showing.
So I've heard the Megalopolis showing in Cannes broke the fourth wall I've heard it breaks the fourth wall and had a guy coming out of the audience and address a question to Adam Driver that he answers on screen.
Also two other tory MPs on the BBC's website going on about how dangerous the A1 is and it needs to be improved when you'd nothing from them about this before. Also treating the DoT like the opposition. Almost like there's an election coming.
Tory MP on local news last night in full panic mode promising to get a noisy road surface problem fixed that people have been complaining about for six years. Best was he was treating the Department of Transport like they were the opposition, not the same party!

www.kickstarter.comI see the Tories are now thrashing around trying to do anything to get votes from the gammons - ie create some new law against cyclists, talking of amalgamating recycling bins. Fun times
Thinking about buying a tablet, mainly to read PDFs, any recommendations?
Thing on the local news about security guards at job centers going on strike. Nothing about why we actually need security guards at job centers. Because, back when there were just places to help people and not totally bully them, we didn't need them.
Was doing the face blindy: Were have I seen him before? Have I seen him before? For a I Saw The TV Glow promotion thing and looked up the actor and he was in the D&D movie. That's an interesting move.
Talking of terrible song lyrics... Exterminate this:

Finished watching This Town about a band forming in early 80s brum with added rioting and the ra via Iplayer... Not particularly impressed - basically the bad bits of Peaky Blinders updated to the 80s with unlikable characters and terrible poetry / song lyrics.
This was New Labour's massive error under Blair and especially Brown. 'But the left will have no where else to go' No, they just stayed at home and the Tories got in by default (or they voted UKIP and eventually even Tory over Brexit)
Rewatching The Thick Of It and interesting to see how quickly it went from 'Ensamble' to 'Basically The Malcolm Tucker Show'
This was unexpected... I think I kinda like it www.bbc.co.uk/news/enterta...

Bought new device, set it all up. Go to use it today and it won't accept the pin. Absolutely furious.
I know they were ready to film it and then it rained at the filming location for the first time in a generation and everything went green so it put them back for a few years until they found somewhere else. I'll have to pull out the art book and read it again before Furiosa
The reports of the on set stuff take a lot of the shine off what looked like being a glorious disaster www.theguardian.com/film/article...
The director has spent half his life and $120m of his own money to make his sci-fi epic. Just days ahead of its debut in Cannes, some of his crew members are questioning his methods

www.kickstarter.comIf you've been watching I'd recommend the show's podcast that's on youtube (and other places). Great stuff on not only the film making but also history and culture.
That's Shogun watched... really can't see the point of a second season, they should just adapt another of Clavell's books.
Roger Corman helped the launch the careers of Coppla, Scorsese, Demme, Cameron, Fonda, Nicholson, Hopper, and Diane Ladd and many many more AND produced a SF flick that had a ship with boobs in it. Hard to say which is the greater legacy (it's the boob ship)
Just seen a dad in shorts and t-shirt and his teenage soon in black jeans and a hoody and I'm thinking the arguments they must have over the thermostat

www.bbc.co.ukYeah, can't really afford / justify the cost of getting to see the Inside No 9 play... even if I went to a matinee performance so I could down and back to London without having to stop over night given the price of a decent seat.
