Award-winning author of novels and comics. Wrote the books that one of those shows you like was based on. Currently: POISON IVY for DC Comics, THE HUNGER AND THE DUSK for IDW. I watch a lot of soccer. Buy my books: bookshop.org/shop/gww
In a much bigger scandal, today's NYT Spelling Bee does not accept 'illegitimize,' making me wonder whether they have ever read any Tudor history
I was surprised as well. It took me all 6 guesses, and at the end I was like "surely not..." based simply on the kinds of words Wordle has rejected as 'not a word' in the past.
Wordle is funny about loan words. It'll accept them as guesses, but they're rarely the correct answer. Nevertheless, I'm willing to bet ready money that several of these outraged defenders of Anglo-Saxon heritage use ADIEU as their opening guess. All the vowels!
As soon as I did the Wordle yesterday, I knew there were going to be elderly white crossword aficionados out there having an absolute existential crisis, and I have not been disappointed
They are apparently counting the value of people’s homes toward this ‘millionaire’ status, despite the fact that a lot of people struggle simply to keep up with property taxes on said homes. 🤷🏼♀️
Also! If you've been buying the single issues at your local comic shop, this volume (collecting issues 1-6) has some cool extras, mostly development sketches from the genius mind of @chriswildgoose.bsky.social, who has put in a 110% effort on this damn thing.
Book 1 of THE HUNGER AND THE DUSK is out this week, and I'd love your help getting the word out. This is my pandemic baby, born in a hellish summer of simultaneous lockdowns and wildfires, set in a world in a similar state of ecological collapse. It's got all your fave high fantasy tropes w a twist.
I know $ is tight right now, but there are free ways to help! Requesting THE HUNGER AND THE DUSK from your library does wonders. Reskeeting/tweeting is great. If you read+enjoy the book, a review on your blog, Goodreads, Amazon etc helps a ton.

Vote FOR Trump? Is this some kind of accelerationist thing? A clear majority for Trump would push the dems right, not left. I don’t understand the logic
We are facing one of the greatest threats to democracy in generations--I don't just mean Trump; his Republican enablers are much scarier--and the Dems can't manage to field a convincing respondent. This should be easy. The fact that it isn't is sobering.
Vought believes that he must destroy the Constitution to save the “original” Constitution, meaning a Constitution that, in his mind, enshrines Anglo-Protestant supremacy in perpetuity. www.washingtonpost.com/politics/202...
Russ Vought, the former president’s budget director, is laying the groundwork for a broad expansion of presidential powers.
www.washingtonpost.comHappening today! See you there, Seattle friends!
Seattle! Reminder that I will see you THIS SATURDAY, June 9 at Golden Age Collectables (Pike Place Market) from 1-3pm for an exclusive early-release signing of THE HUNGER AND THE DUSK Vol 1! And I have postcards for the first few people through the door. 👀 See you there!
More like my frustration. Of course I'm oversimplifying for the sake of sarcasm, but the fact that this is a manufactured conflict, and the instigators have all basically washed their hands of responsibility, is pretty maddening.
Yet somehow we still managed to take in more refugees (going back to the WWI-era pogroms even) than all the countries of Europe put together, which is why to this very day the US is home to the largest population of Jewish ppl outside of Israel. European Jewish communities never recovered.
God I didn't know the bit about the DP camps in former concentration camps. You think you know how vile it was and then you keep reading...
Poland! Poland turned around and nationalized all Jewish property after WW2, so the Polish Jews who managed to survive the Holocaust couldn't simply 'go back' even if they wanted to. Europe birthed this crisis and is doing *nothing.* The absolute LEAST
What's amazing to me, in the midst of the bombardment of Gaza, is how all of Europe--which rendered millions of European Jewish ppl stateless during WW2--got away with rebranding itself as this harmless cheese-eating clog-wearing tourist destination instead of solving this problem
Hahaha we are so screwed www.washingtonpost.com/business/202...
The former president has laid the groundwork to massively expand executive authority over the $6 trillion federal budget.
www.washingtonpost.comComics friends! Today is the last day to vote in the Eisner Awards. If your ballot link is sitting neglected in your inbox, now is the time to remedy that! There are some great creators and books on the ballot this year, including your humble servant in the Best Writer category.
Aww thank you! And I agree; having normie characters in superhero/villain books does so much, story-wise. xo
