Smashburger is good, but not really any better than Steak ‘n Shake or five guys. Our DQs don’t have food, so I’ve never tried their burgers. They may have changed my choices, but I have In n Out taking it.
I will happily assume that role! I’m not usually the oldest, but I’m getting to the point now where many times I’m the most experienced member of the pit. I will always stand up for and help my pit mates!!
Felt kinda good being “the old person with experience”. It doesn’t hurt that I’ve worked with this director for over 12 years so I know how to deal with him. Now I need to take my own advice and stand up for myself for something I don’t feel comfortable about.
A younger friend who I’ve played in pits with asked me for advice dealing with an issue with a director. She said she knew I would give her the best advice bc I would tell her what to say to not sound like an asshole but also stand up for herself 🥺
Molly has developed a fun new game where she hunts cicadas in the grass and eats them 🫠 Luckily she’s cute
They have routinely gotten my order wrong so many times. Their carryout is notoriously bad.
I’m always amazed how much a long hot shower and lots of coffee make me feel like a human again when I wake up feeling like garbage.
The food is very mediocre and used to be a lot better. The last few times I went the service was terrible and they didn’t care at all.
Definitely way better imo. Joseph is very cheesy and silly, JCS is more serious.
Yep! Almost 1.5 times, in fact! It’s only about 1.5 hour show. There’s no dialogue stops really, the songs all segue into each other.
Oh yeah, lots of breaks. It’s the first full run-through with cast and orchestra so it just takes awhile.
Oh I’m terrible at clarinet 😅 it’s my absolute worst instrument!
None for this show! Flute, Bb clarinet and tenor sax.
That’s so cool you played bassoon!! Making reeds is pretty much the worst.
Eating an early dinner of leftover Memorial Day pasta salad and cheese curds before a 4 hour rehearsal for Jesus Christ Superstar 😵💫
As a former Lyft driver, extremely easy. Just like changing a profile pic on social media. They just have to approve it after you upload it.
My FIL was in a rehab hospital for 9 months & his license lapsed. When he went in to renew it after not driving for over a year they waived his driving tests bc it was Tuesday and he was a veteran. He was 75 🙃
That is my in-laws summer cabin in WI. It is quite retro!
Fun hang with old friends. I made a giant vat of pasta salad that I’ll be eating for lunch this week as leftovers.
My friend seeing if Molly would allow her to put her sorting hat toy on her back and she tolerated it well.
Omg the #2 episode from season is probably the hardest I have ever laughed watching anything in my life 😂 I was crying
My fave is when the light switches next to the door don’t do anything 🫠
We have a group of 3-4 crows that hang around the big trees next to our WI cabin, and I keep trying to befriend them.
We took an electric train today that was built in the 1920s! It goes to a very cute artisanal market in WI, so we also got lots of yummy things.
Closing the tab on my chrome app of the HS calendar for the year👏🏼 One more day of lessons there on Tuesday!
Cheers! Three teachers who are done or mostly done with school, a long weekend, a lake with a boat and lots of drinking will be had!
Driving up to our Wisconsin lake cabin for the weekend and to celebrate the (almost) end of school year! Just made a reservation at a really good place in our little downtown for fish fry. I’ll be enjoying that with a maple old fashioned or two 😁
Most of my students are done this week, but some go next week. I’m teaching at my HS until next Tuesday, but they go to Friday.
Omg I’m beyond exhausted after an 11 hour day on my last “real” week of teaching. But my students are amazing people that make me so proud every day that I get to work with them! Another great school year in the books!
