youtu.beThe idea that FJG and UBI are substitutes is overblown. Although they have some overlap in their effects (eg large increase in working-class income), the justifications given by their respective proponents address very different issues.
I have not investigated the arguments for and against an FJG as a automatic stabilizer to form a strong opinion about how much we might need it.
You're mistaken. You have to look at the NET transfer. UBI & NIT have the SAME net transfer & therefore the same stabilization effect. UBI works more through the tax system, but that interaction is crucial.
Agreed, but if you look at the net effect of UBI, it has the same automatic stabilization ability as NIT. However, MMT people right to say these policies are not as effective automatic stabilizers as guaranteed employment would be.
Might go a little far to say "everyone" always, but basic agreement here
That's employers' problem. When they offer jobs, that means they have work they want done, but don't want to do it themselves. If so, they need to offer good wages, working conditions, advancement, satisfaction & whatever other incentive it takes to get people to do it--or they can do it themselves.

A common question about universal basic income, or UBI, is how people spend the money, but early trials are showing promising results.
www.businessinsider.com
Universal Basic Income programs have been around for decades, but despite their effectiveness, Republicans think it makes people lazy.
www.blackenterprise.comMany American families--like mine--have a tradition where we scrimp, save, & invest all our lives. When we're elderly, we give all that money to a profit making long-term care facility. When the facility has our last cent, they start billing the government so they can keep making money off us.
I think this is my best speech

All government spending (including UBI) creates inflationary pressure.
Governments have tools to counteract the inflationary pressure of its spending (including spending on UBI).
I don't have a complex statement on this because it's so easy, but see this:

If you're against DEI (Diversity, Equity, & Inclusion)
Then, by definition, you're for MUE (Monolithic Unfairness, & Exclusion).
Change my mind.
Tangential, but I don't understand White people--despite being one. But Mills understands White people. The two logical positions for Whites are 1. Try to eliminate non-white disadvantage. 2 Light your torch & go chant "you will not replace us." Most of us do neither. Reading Mills taught me why.
I never thought I'd get into Christian Techno music. But here's my first foray into the genre. (I'll be doing many versions of this song in many genres.)

Interesting fact I ran across: prices of slaves, New Orleans, 1850s:
Prime field hand: $800-$1200
Less-able: about $400
Special skills (e.g. blacksmith): about $1600
Teenage girl, good looking, 75%+ European ancestry: about $3200
What conclusions do you draw from these facts?

I think what @courtneymilan.com means is that the Basic Income movement is not now and should never be a patriarchy. Women have been at the forefront of the movement at least since Hermione Parker in the 1930s.
BTW I'm not the leading man either, but nice to be thought of.
