It's still funny that Atlus slaps Denuvo on all their PC games just for those same games to get dumped off an early-release Switch copy and be 100% playable through piracy before release every single time.
BTW SMT5V's floating around out there, just like the base game was.
Had to miss work for an appointment. Taking advantage by going out to eat for once. It was nice when I could do this more often
I played through Wolfenstein TNC and had a godawful time. The tone, story, characters, etc. were all so bad they made me think I remembered TNO/TOB wrong.
I started a new run of TNO up today and nah, that game's still great. It's surprising that these games released consecutively. TNC's really bad.
TIL basically every gacha game is rated 12+ and that seems like it's a huge opening for a government to ram a fist up Apple/Google's asses. Series like Taimanin are definitely not age 12+ IPs.
ICQ is going down? Talk about the end of an era. It's always a little sad to see sites that defined the internet for so long go away.
Still applies, yeh. They still gave Nomura unregulated access to the shop keys for KH3 after he said FF13 was his favorite FF game. That's definitely some potato-braining from the suits.
Square Enix announcing Kingdom Hearts on Steam immediately after news of their impending demise by low sales is very funny. I assumed it was a permanent EGS exclusive and their Epic partnerships are unquestionably responsible for their underperformance on PC.
I think it's really funny how "Fuck Konami" just went straight out the window on literally the first time it's applicable. Seeing a ton of people who shouted that getting hyped over V Rising/Vampire Survivors/DBD crossovers and pretending it's not the same company.
Gotta get in on Destruction All-Stars, Foamstars, and Quantum Error. :^)
OG Marathon got put up on Steam. I am surprised that the A1 team was allowed to do that, but at least people have absolutely zero excuse to skip the game now.
I also think this is the first time that a FOTM streamerbait game has actually caught my attention in a good way. So that's exciting.
Answer: the paint is keeping the game together through Flathill, and afterwards it stands on its own merits. It's legitimately a very good game even without leaning on Half-Life once you get past the intro and first arc.
Abiotic Factor is pretty good. I'm still not sure how much of it is because of the Half-Life/SCP paint scheme and how much is the game standing up on its own merits, but it might not matter as long as it's fun.
Sony saw that they had a successful video game and decided that they couldn't let that continue, hah. Legitimately baffled by how consistently dumb their decisions are.
Ayy Siralim Ultimate is re-entering development to get more stuff. That's neat, it's a good game.
Still waiting for muted users to actually be muted on this site instead of showing me their whole posts with a convenient little tag saying that the people whose whole posts are on my screen are muted.
Why is it almost 100 degrees today. The high was in the 50s a week ago. Temperature shouldn't be allowed to do that.
Exoprimal is once again on sale. I will once again say that it's a much better game than anyone says it is.
The update this week is also going to fix most of its problems and is a huge improvement. If PvP or matchmaking-only bothered people, here comes the fix for that.
Decided to play PSU again over the weekend. I forgot how much of a slog solo-levelling buff skills is, but otherwise still a fun game to play when I'm too exhausted to put much effort into stuff.
Using this site instead of other sites is like living in one of those rural American communities where your nearest neighbor is 20 miles away. That's almost like a hermit.
Reminder: the 3DS and WiiU's online functions both completely end on Monday. Get your Monster Hunter/Pokemon multiplayer in before it's too late.
Sticks really are a make-or-break feature nowadays IMO. The Switch Pro is solid, but the sticks make the $70 USD pricetag tough to sell for me.
And O/U stick layouts are really common, so the Xbox Elite has to compete with stuff like the Vader, Apex, T4 Kaleid, and KingKong. It doesn't hold up.
Hall Effect sticks are becoming a lot more standard, so maybe it's just because I didn't get it early. But the ergo on it is just so goddamn bad. It's still a very rare U/U stick layout HE-stick controller, which is why I got it, but it really doesn't have much else going for it.
Got a new controller today since my old one's sticks are shot. The 8bitdo might be the most overrated piece of hardware I have ever touched. It's be best Switch controller by far, but that's sorta like being the least deformed Habsburg with how Switch controllers function.
Megacorporate hypercentralization is the worst thing that has ever happened to the internet and I don't think the average person's tech competency is high enough for anyone to undo that damage anymore.
Seeing people respond to Discord adding advertising to the platform is really funny. Everyone's saying they'll move to Guilded or TS or Revolt and lmao no you won't. Nobody ever changes platforms anymore. Even this site's a relative ghost town despite Twitter being worse than hell.
I really want a WLVRN, but man is it expensive to get set up. I don't really think I want it to the tune of like $6,000 for everything I'd need. But it's really cool and I wish I had the cash to blow.
Finally moved. I am on keep-the-cats-from-stress-puking duty right now, but I got thw internet up. Hurray.
Shilling EDF again. This bundle is all the EDF for now and 100% worth it.

Exoprimal S4 looks great. I might actually be able to reliably recommend it to people without 4-6 caveats. The gameplay additions are all really great, but the real winner is Capcom finally letting people play how they want to play.
Well RIP Yuzu I guess. It's ultimately for the best that they settled since it prevents precedent from shifting, but it's still shit that you can do nothing actually illegal and still get completely buried because a litigious company doesn't like you.
Although honestly Nintendo is probably just doing that thing they do where having infinite money means the law doesn't actually matter most of the time. Just bury people in court costs until they lose by default.
I do think that Nintendo probably at least thinks they've got a slam-dunk because if they lose this case it'll be a death knell for their anti-emulation crusade, but a win won't have as critical an impact. This whole case would just be a bad idea if they didn't have really high hopes for a win.
The Yuzu situation is complicated and I see very few people actually acknowledging the situation itself. Most people seem to either be dickriding the megacorp or ignoring all the real legal issues brought up because they *want* it to be legal and nothing else matters.
Oh hey Mega Evolution is back. It's more than a whole gen early, so that probably means it'll stick around through the BW remakes and the XY remakes. Neat. Still probably not buying any Pokemon games unless there's a show of better quality first though.
SMT5 is FINALLY off the 15 FPS machine. Thank god.

m.youtube.comWith how consistently Nvidia drivers deploy in a botched state on Windows lately, I'm starting to wonder if I should switch back to Linux early. I've planned to ride out W10 until it EOLs before going back, but it really is getting frustrating to use.
It's not like the console warring even matters I guess. Xbox is collapsing, Playstation is already reporting that their current gen is a wash, and Nintendo will forever release platforms too underpowered to even run their first-party flagships.
