Sent in my form! Once I have everything together I'll email in the photos. I'm so excited. Let's DO this y'all!
favorite book or my best yet. It was nice to hear, but sure didn't feel that way while I was in the trenches with it, I'll tell ya that. O.o
Just remember you aren't the only person this happens to. We've all had books that've kicked our ass. And I guarantee however bad you think your book is your editor has probably seen worse. lol
Funny thing is-I've had people tell me Bethany, the book that I seriously think tried to kill me was their
understands and can/will work with you to make sense of the mess and salvage what's possible and help you fix it. And remind yourself their job is to help you make your book better and turn it into the best possible version it can be. So let them help.
In all seriousness though, when I can I do try to do at least one or two passes before I hand in a book to my editor to make it the best version I can hand in at the time. But sometimes when it's late, and you've used up extensions and it's still a mess, you hand it in as is, hope your editor
I turned in the first draft of Cecily to my agent with the subject line Ugly Monster Draft. And when I sent in my first version of Bethany to my editor it was late and a disjointed horrendous mess. think that answers your question. lol.
PA used to be so strict about absentee ballots and what qualified. they made vote by mail an option during the pandemic and I've used it ever since. I LOVE it.
tis true there's a "metric fuck ton" of us former JDs amongst the Romancelandia ranks
to paraphrase the inimitable Elle Woods, "What? Like it's hard to avoid committing felonies?"
And the RWA president at the time defended that decision. A BLACK WOMAN. I am still not over that.
CM I am SO sorry. This is complete bullshit and you deserve so much better than this. You worked so hard to make RWA a better more inclusive org for everyone and for them to twist it makes me sick. The fact they are trying to lay this at your door is outrageous. I am so sorry.
I hope to see y'all there! RSVP here:

(s) were a huge part of what helped me stay calm and sane. I am grateful to them both and all of you for all you do and continue to do. Is it weird I sort of think of y'all as the Legal Avengers? And that of course includes @gregdoucette.bsky.social @goobermunch.bsky.social etc
Congrats to you, @akivamcohen.bsky.social @questauthority.bsky.social @dmschmeyer.bsky.social and the whole team! Apologies to anyone I forgot/missed. But very well deserved. I am one of those who got to know y'all through the Threadnought. And Akiva and Mike's post-election Litigation Disaster Tour
Meanwhile, it came so natural to Diana and Meghan, that innate ability to connect with other people. Which I'm sure is also a major sore point
Charles and William seem to think they are still in the age of Divine Right of Kings?
It's like they refuse to learn. Part of the reason Elizabeth II managed to be pretty successful was she learned to balance the decorum, protocol etc of being royal and the need to be accessible, approachable, and willing to move with the times. Not that she always go it right but at least she tried.
I mean if you ask me, declaring to the whole world "I have found the person I love most in the world, the one I want to do the next 50-60 years of life with together, even on, maybe esp on the days they piss me off so bad I wanna throw them out the window" is a pretty BFD. But what do I know?
One would think two people exchanging vows/makin a lifelong commitment in front of friends, family, loved ones, the people who mean most to them in the world, would be the main focus, not whether they serve salmon or halibut at the reception or if there were lilies or hydrangeas in the church.

I got my writing start in fanfiction over 20 years ago. Today I learned I don't qualify as a professional writer.
I'm basically picturing the adult version of that pic of Goth Toddler Adele but on steroids.
I can literally picture the look on your face as you tried to not commit homicide and it's priceless.
And I can't even blame Mercury in retrograde. I just wanna go back to bed tbh.
tried to make my way from my bedroom to kitchen. But my foot was asleep, couldn't take the weight so I fell down and will likely have bruises tomorrow. So how's your day going?
Aaww thank you. I've always wanted to visit Chicago properly. Only ever been there on a layover and never made it out of O'Hare.
As for RTD-yikes on bikes is all I got. O.o
So many people were/are calling it the Fyre Festival of book conventions.
Is this the Brooklyn or LA location? Either way SO COOL AND SO AWESOME
And you sold a novella solely on the basis of cheesy toast. Serious A+++++ marketing and promo.
