I need to acquire Pop Tarts and record the experiments (hypothesis: it will be adorable & awesome! 😹)
I am now curious as to if my cats will ALSO like Pop Tarts - this demands research!
@charloh.bsky.social Have you seen this excellent kitty who eats Pop Tarts?
I would add many also believe in misery for their “loved ones” if that “loved one” is perceived as being somehow outside of their control, or possibly has beliefs about their own bodily autonomy that are experienced as threatening somehow.
I was hoping there was KRAKEN-ING, but I also barely know what day it is, so, unsurprising I missed it! Also, have a Mina:
As in, all discussions? I feel like canopies are what has been missing from every discussion I’ve had lately (well, that and, at work, cats. All discussions also need cats!)

Post below is an explanation of why the “overdose” claim is unsupported, BUT, even if it had been true, would not have been exculpatory, pt 4
But it's also a lie, and a clumsy lie. These things matter. The truth matters, and the fact that officials are still determined to protect bigots from the consequences of even violent acts of bigotry matters.

Post below is an explanation of why the “overdose” claim is neither supported nor, even if it had been true, exculpatory pt 3
Frankly, if Nex *had* died to suicide, that would still be the fault of the school and a result of the bullying. People don't just up and do that to frame someone else for murder. Not much changes if the story were true... it's a convenient excuse but, morally and logically, it excuses nothing

Post below is explained on why the “overdose” assertion is neither supported nor exculpatory *even if it were supported*, pt 2
The phony "drug overdose" story has been used to distract from the inarguable fact that a child was savagely beaten by bullies, to the point of requiring medical care, and school officials charged with that child's care did nothing.

Post is a debunking/explainer on why the “overdose” claim is both unsupported & non-exculpatory, p1 1
You're right, this for instance is very straightforward. All the facts just explained to you are true. Nex was taking two medicines that are frequently taken together and which do not fatally interact, and so they were in his blood when he died from his injuries. There is no evidence they killed him

New: Nex Benedict’s family has put out a statement via their lawyer regarding the medical examiner’s summary, which ruled he died by suicide.
The statement reveals the summary left out key details about the severity of Nex’s injuries from the assault, including multiple head contusions.
treating being called out for harmful actions as the worst possible outcome of any situation, rather than perpetuating harmful systems.
access to them when the person who doesn’t share that type of marginalization has caused harm pertaining to that particular marginalized identity. This is rambling & possibly off point, but I keep coming back to the idea that so much has spiraled into violence out of the fear of white ppl/cis ppl/etc
feel much of the framing focusing on “unchanging character” rather than “specific actions” tends to be a tool supporting oppressive systems, & makes it harder to recognize the ways in which marginalized people don’t owe ppl who don’t share that particular marginalization the benefit of the doubt or
of being irredeemably awful, plenty of people, myself included, will flail around + make almost ANY leap to avoid recognizing that, yes, we’ve caused harm, we’re obligated to apologize + rectify what we can, AND no one is OBLIGATED to trust us or forgive us, even if the harm was unintentional. I
“discomfort” around the possibility they could be morally fallible or lacking in insight in some way, & that it’s possible they’ve caused harm. (I absolutely have done this, btw, so it’s a self-indictment as much as anything else - when being given negative feedback is positioned as being evidence
shitshow, & recognize, more often than not, it’s coming about b/c people who like to think of themselves as “reasonable” & “compassionate/empathetic” have often sided w/ racist, sexist, homophobic, transphobic, antisemitic, ableist, Islamophobic, fatphobic, etc framings of issues out of unexamined
w/i the right wing media calling for any sort of moderation, largely b/c the right wing media constantly shifts the Overton Window to frame more extreme expressions of white supremacist heteropatriachy as the center/norm. I think a fair amount about why this political moment is such an abject
I just wanted to share this post by @ser1897.bsky.social - www.playtyperguy.com/p/why-no-sis... - One of the most frustrating aspects of liberal “moderate” messaging is how often calls to appeal to more “moderate” candidates so often are about reinforcing white supremacy; there is no counterforce
What kitty mischief is he getting into? (3 of Mine have decided I am an excellent cat pillow and are draped across me so that moving is precarious currently 😹)
There’s apparently an option where you can turn them into Owlbears and wander around en masse, chanting “NOT SUSPICIOUS”, if TikTok is to be believed, too! I need to be able to do this at the office - just turning into 4 Owlbears as I carry extra copies of a power of attorney back downstairs to a
What a wonderful kitten! The most initially skittish kitties often turn into the best cuddlers!
I would have been more excited about D&D earlier if I’d known campaigns w/ ONLY owlbears & as cats were options!
This is the best part of BG3, imo - I don’t want to complete objectives, I just want to give Owlbear scritches & hang out with our traumatized pixel friends!
Hey, spoons are spoons whenever you have them, and any chipping away at a problem is progress!
Fuck, sorry about that, just found your MA & reposted it - hope your kitties are looking after you as best they can!
Always happy to remind you of how lovely of a person you are, if you want! Also, I hope you’re having plenty of snuggles w/ your ADORABLE puppers today!
sense to just lean into “look how cozy this space is! Perfect for making tiny cups of tea for on the tiny stove & then settling into the couch for murder mysteries!” vibe?
I realize it may be a non-standard take here, but I actually like how cozy it looks, and the slanting wall lines (assuming it’s priced reasonably for a stay)? Regardless, if it works out & a person rents it expecting a larger space, it seems like that would net them a much worse rating? Makes more
I know this isn’t a serious post, but here’s an earnest reply: You’re a kind, intelligent, witty, DELIGHTFUL person & seeing you on Bsky always brightens my day!
Oh, wait, was confused as to what I was replying to! W/ Scratch I hope you get to adopt him on the next playthrough!
I think I have seen that he says “Don’t look at me” and that he wants you to talk to his person, it could be that I just decided he is Auggie-like b/c of the color & because he seems devoted to his human.
NOOO! Scratch!!! I wonder if it was one of glitches that was fixed?
Hahah, I’ve only seen him doing things like saying “I’m just a cat” and that he loves his human?
HOORAY! I LOVE HIM! (He reminds me slightly of what I imagine Auggie’s internal monologue is, as he loves me, loves being a tiny cat, loves other cats, loves eating, loves playing, etc)
Have you met Grub yet? (Grub the cat is one of my favorite BG3 cats!)
admit I usually don’t realize I’m being “tested” unless someone informs me that’s what’s happening. The orange test is FAR lower stakes, but I can understand why someone would be uncomfortable w/ being tested & filmed for social media w/o consent, especially.
me about having been sexually assaulted to see how I’d react/if I’d immediately believe them, etc - only to very coldly inform me when I was trying to suggest avenues for a rudimentary safety plan that they were just “testing” me) - not a huge fan of contrived “tests” for this reason, although I
relatively low-stakes & minor request for a favor, or who guilt you for asking, etc. I see why it’s an illustration of a toxic dynamic in relationships, but it also raises my hackles as someone who’s had unhealthy friendships wherein ppl devised “loyalty tests” periodically (most upsetting: lying to
The orange test is a TikTok trend where you “test” if your partner actually loves you or not by how they react to your simple request to peel an orange for you. Ostensibly it’s mostly about weeding out people (allocishet men, particularly, although that could just be my feed) who are offended by a
