Demon Tiger furry. Pharmacist IRL. Bad kitty & overall flirt. Bi, switch, & lawful evil. Formerly known as ‘Man1c M0g’.
Yeah. I do use Linux mint a bit, but honestly find the whole ‘tied together’ nature of Mac quite appealing. I used to enjoy fiddling a lot with machines, but honestly I now can’t be bothered and just want it all to work easily whilst still looking nice and ordered.
Well I have a very powerful pc, but windows is crap integrating with my phone & tablet. Plus it’s a bit mad leaving it powered on all the time (and noisy).
Not that I’ll be doing any spending for a bit. Just registered with a new local dentist. First checkup since the pandemic and I need £3k of work (mostly just in two crowns). That’ll be all my money for a while! :/
Somebody stop me - I’m tempted to get a Mac mini to use as a daily driver (non gaming). I don’t play that many games these days so could relegate the PC to that task only. Getting annoying with windows 11 bloat (and damned ads!).
A strange thing has been happening to me recently. I’m starting to like looking nice in fine stylish clothes. Why on earth couldn’t I be like this when I was younger (when it would have got me laid?). ;)
For us it’s when the ‘Winsor framework’ comes into effect in January and all U.K. medicines have to have a ‘not for EU use’ statement on them. That regulatory change will cause utter pandemonium in the supply chain.
We currently can’t get ADHD meds or senna liquid. Oh, and iv vitamins are now out of stock too (which has me panicked a bit as these can be life saving).
Had a nice surprise today. Wasn’t having the best run of my life so decided to depress myself by taking my weight… and to my surprise I’m now 98.1kg! Seems the running is working! :D
Ahhh. We went on the Arvia last year. Big ship! Let us know what its sister vessel is like! ;)
The main issue about making my workout sessions almost entirely cardio? I find rest days where I’m expected to relax extremely hard. *leg jiggling intensifies*
It must be tiger cinema time, as I’m doing the exact same thing at 7pm to watch Dune 2 too :)
There’s nothing like a little jaunt around Harrods to make you feel like you’re immensely poor and earn nothing in the grand scheme of things. ;)
You may be lucky and find your alcohol tolerance falls too. Make you a cheap date :)
Our old neighbour used to do that. At around 7pm every day they would seemingly decide to move all the heavy furniture around. Never did find out wtf they were doing!
10k run ratio increased. Now I’m running 70% of each run I do, 3x a week. Slowly building up to running the whole of it (as I can run the whole of a 5k run). I’m not as tired as I thought I’d be, which is a good sign! ;)
I’m a great believer in karma. I got my neck serious damaged by a flying head tackle in a rugby game. Offender had form for this but his mother was a school governor so he wasn’t disciplined. Years later his general recklessness got him killed in a car accident.
What is a demon, if not an angel fallen from grace and having a mind of their own ? :)
Extreme and sudden violence solves a lot of problems. It just shouldn’t be your first port of call as it usually has consequences. :)
I did the same - kicked my bully really hard in the shin. I got suspended for it and told how my actions were ‘unchristian’. Of course the school doing NOTHING about the bullying in the first place wasn’t ‘unchristian’ at all. Still, the bully never bothered me again.
Had a nice compliment from a physio yesterday who said I was looking amazing and wanted to steal my training regimen. Must be doing something right! :)
I’ve downloaded the second season of ‘made in abyss’ to watch. Let’s see what kind of mental damage this one causes!
Today I looked in the mirror and realised that I am indeed losing weight again. May be able reach my target before year end? Let’s hope! :). All it took to lose my flab was mind-meltingly large amounts of cardio. Who’d have thought it? :)
Sounds like my workplace! Mind you, the car is a necessary ‘escape zone’, and the only place you are usually guaranteed an undisturbed lunch break.
Really enjoying Sons of the Forest. Didn’t think it would be my cup of tea, but it’s pretty fun! Just wish I hadn’t put my base on the top of a mountain. Yes it’s secure but it’s an arse getting back to base. Still, Kelvin is nice and safe. :)
Oh don’t worry, the military can make annoying and useless people serve a purpose. Even if it’s only as cannon fodder :)
Ah sorry. It’s when you decant medicines from boxes into a tray with dates and times on it. Something like this: epak-cdn.trisoft.co.uk/ftpemt/PB002...
Not in the mood to take work-related shit today. No, pharmacy can’t turn around an MDS tray ‘whilst you wait’. It’s very complex and hard to do without error. Some take 2hrs to complete. That’s why we ask for 24hrs notice, so the dispenser doesn’t get distracted or stressed and miss things.
