Missing the ocean - landlocked in Edmonton.
Last 3 years have been rough so 3yr old pic used to encourage myself to get back to that version of me. ๐
Loner loves archaeology, rockhounding, trees, books, sketching, creating, old houses, quilting, pets โค๏ธ
Thursday was a day of visiting/scooter pick up/grocery fetching. Yarn is front and center on dresser, waiting. Lol
I did realize it I use a large purse, I can pack yarn in that too and use it as a pillow during my 8hour stopover in Toronto airport lol.
I figure once I pack yarn I only have room for shorts and a bathing suit, and crochet hooks... So how long can that take to pack anyway!?!
Not even the yarn!
But, I did grab a vacuum bag today to try to compress balls of yarn to flattest possible size lol
P.s. I leave tomorrow.
Not packed at all yet! ๐ฌ
It can be, but I do love it.
Unfortunately more limited these days, not alot of ladders or heavy lifting in my life now anymore. Sucks.
I do that with renovating a 120 year old house lol
Lol I love that approach... Just see what it turns into ๐
Me... I need a pattern, need to read it through 6 times, follow it through in my head, watch a video at least twice, then still end up frogging it 3 times.
It may become a 5 year project, but (eventually) there will be 3. (๐ค)
The part of the project that turns so many of my 'almost finished' projects into 'abandoned WIP' basket residents ๐.
Love the stitch combination โค๏ธ
After she assured me she loved all 3 colours and she'd be happy with any one, she only then asked what was I making lol
Ooh, hadn't seen that one before, love it!
Lol.y daughter was house-sitting for me last weekend, and she spotted the 3 stacks of hobbii yarn.
Her first question when I got home?
Beautiful yarn! Which colour are you using for mine? Lol
Exactly.
Was gifted an alpaca pullover once, omgods itchy! (For me at least)
There now, wasn't that easy to admit? ๐
Wool drives my skin mad.
So my go to yarns are usually acrylic, cotton or bamboo or a combination thereof.
Someone gave me a pashmina scarf mind you, and that doesn't seem to have same effect as wool does for me.
A total tour de force -
It's stunning!!

I long for clear sunny days and time to sit on my covered front porch to work on dark yarns or crossstitching these days.
Always had problem with pupils expanding enough to let light in at best of times, just getting worse as older. I have a headlamp too but not enough for night work
Lol... I can only imagine!!... But gods it is gorgeous ๐

Re hook:
All I used at first was a plain ordinary crochet hook as was doing an entrelac Tunisian pattern (that ultimately made a cover over seat of one of my dining room chairs that cat like sleeping on lol.
With entrelac you don't need a longer hook ๐
( That's the squares piece in this pic)
It's may be my imagination but if you don't already love the colours together already, you've already decided you need a shopping trip 'to see' if there's something perfect... Otherwise you won't be happy. โค๏ธ
๐ฌ... But... I mean... Why... Argh!
I often scroll back to reference stuff ๐ข
Tunisian crochet ๐งถ
Hmmm, where did all the rest of the Tunisian crochet posts go? :(
Hmmm, where did all the rest of the Tunisian crochet posts go? :(
Lol... I'll probably be awake and cruising yarn shops so, no worries!
Lol
I know you think you understand what you think I thought I meant.
However, I'm not sure you understand that what you think I thought I meant was in fact not necessarily what I think I meant to say!
Nice to see you keeping out of trouble so productively!
