Une performance magnétique, sans artifice. "Il y a des gens qui craignent de perdre leur confort. Moi, c’est l’idée même de sécurité qui me panique", a déclaré un jour Polly Jean Harvey. Depuis la secousse inaugurale de son album "Dry", en 1992, l’Anglaise cultive la joie incommode de remettre sans cesse en question ses acquis. Chacun de ses projets offre donc l’occasion de lutter contre la paresse d’inspiration. Sept ans après "The Hope Six Demolition Project" - un album né d’un périple au Kosovo, en Afghanistan et à Détroit - PJ Harvey revient avec "I Inside the Old Year Dying". Au cœur de ce nouveau projet, la mise en musique de textes issus de Orlam, un "poème narratif" publié par la musicienne en 2022. En contraste avec les volumes voluptueux de l’Olympia, c’est dans une scénographie intimiste que PJ Harvey se livre au public parisien. Tout de blanc vêtu, la rockeuse emporte ses fans dans une grand-messe pleine de ferveur où se mélangent nouveautés issues de son dernier album et morceaux piochés dans l'intégralité de sa discographie.
