i am especially sympathetic to patients on controlled meds; i once fought for 6 weeks to get a prior auth approved for a pt whose insurance was giving her trouble for her ADHD meds. my pharm kept telling her to pay OOP and i was like NO. DO THE FUCKING PA SHE'S A TEACHER SHE DOESNT MAKE MUCH lmao
anyway if u want any kind of advice on how to navigate shit from the patient side or what the hell is going on when X happens or Y is delayed you can ask lol there are no secrets w/ me. i quit back in 1/2023 and its been a huge burden lifted ever since
i worked retail pharmacy for 2 years and there is so much that goes into it that makes u realize that its the perfect storm of retail + healthcare and all of the WORST QUALITIES OF BOTH INDUSTRIES. it seriously needs to be reworked from the ground up, THERE IS NO SALVAGING IT.
from the pharmacy side: its easiest to call ahead to the pharm to make sure it's in stock before getting the RX sent over as C2s cant be transferred, only resent iirc. so call pharm > call psych for smoothest system, at least ime. & tbh lots of pharms r powerplaying douchebags who take it out on pts
nearly cussed out a robot today coz my apartment complex has now started using a "residential assistant ai" and i feel like the encroachment of ai is making me crazybiscuits. enough! ENOUGH!
