Yeah. Today was my last chance to wash the car for Mom before she came back from Florida.
Oh well… I’ll at least clean the inside.
I’d do it for $500,000…but the article would only be up for 5 minutes from 3:02 to 3:07am EDT.
Extra $100k for every minute after that. 😆
Every Wednesday night I bring the trash out to the curb.
…and about five times a year I forget that trash collection is delayed because of a holiday. Tonight, I remembered as I was 1/4th the way down the driveway.
I’m not even sure what 9’s alternate word is supposed to be and I’ve stared at it for several minutes.
Approach those guests!
I mean, you were already banned once…what’s the worst that can happen?
I think the big question is “Have they learned anything about how anime conventions are different than their typical comic con guest petting zoos?”
From the size of the guest list, I’m thinking they have not learned a single thing.
An episode of AnimeCons TV covering convention commercials was always on the list for possible future episodes, but I never got around to it. Maybe it was waiting for this.
Look at all the movies that came out in 1984 and I don’t know how anyone can say that any other single year was better.
Ghostbusters, Gremlins, an Indiana Jones movie, Karate Kid, Police Academy, a Star Trek, Terminator, Last Starfighter, A Christmas Story…

AI also thinks we should put glue on our pizza. I don’t want it telling doctors what to do.
What the fuck? There is no evidence AI can "save millions of lives" if only "it" (what does that even mean? it?) had access to *all of our medical records*
This is a totally fake "ethical dilemma" based on fantasy that is really just "should we repeal HIPAA yes or no"
My brother and I didn’t understand ranks listed on the GI Joe cards, so our uncle who served in Vietnam came over to explain them to us and answer questions.
Oof, yeah. Planes aren’t great…but still not in the red.
Worst air quality I’ve seen has been:
1) multiple hotel rooms (WTF?)
2) AB green room when it was packed with people before Opening Ceremonies
3) my home office with the door closed 😅
4) Amherst Railroad Hobby Show at The Big E in January
I’m definitely not defending anti-maskers, but air quality at AB was actually not bad at our World’s Worst Conventions panel…so that indicated decent air circulation. Hopefully AN was too.
If it was in the red, I’d definitely have masked.
Want to borrow this Aranet4 for your upcoming RI con report?
Oh my…
I’m starting to get a better idea of how dysfunctional that company really is. (As if naming the con “Otakucon” and then “RI Anime Expo” and then trying to trademark “anime con” weren’t enough.)
Good luck with your tag-team coverage! I’ll be on the edge of my seat!
Congratulations to Vic Mignogna. Now everyone that reads the New York Times knows that you’re a creepy sex pest.
Yes, I love a bit of crisp on the edge of pepperoni! I don’t like it when the pepperoni is flat, soggy, and buried in the cheese.
I know that voice actor in the article that started the whole #Threadnought discussion…and I knew the allegations against him were true since he had done it against friends of mine.
…so to see his ridiculous defamation lawsuit eventually lead to a team of people suing Elon is mind blowing!
Back in California, there was a little pizza place in Pengrove with the best pizza that side of the Mississippi (the pepperoni would curl up at the edges) with $5 for a “slice” (actually 1/4th a large) and a soda. Went there once a week until I moved.
They probably wondered what happened to me.
From the very beginning with the accusations against Vic and his terrible decision to follow Nick Rekieta’s advice and sue his victims, I’ve watched with fascination as this all played out. Now it’s in The NY Times! 😅

This is a thing that happened recently
www.nytimes.com/2024/05/26/n...
A litigation team built from the sharpest, funniest tweeters is suing Elon Musk.
www.nytimes.comI pulled it out of the long bag and wondered why there was so much salt on a churro. Then I realized it was a pretzel…and not even a good one. Bleh.
Ordered dinner from Subway in the app. Decided to try their churro. Picked up the order, ate my sandwich, and then realized they gave me a foot long pretzel instead of a churro. 😑
They should change their slogan to “Subway: Always Disappointing”.
Not sorting them by state was certainly a choice.
I’d have had to drive 2 hours down to Boston to see it…except I was 4 and wouldn’t have a driver’s license for another 11 years.
The most controversial thing Dad ever did in public would be to wear a Patriots or Red Sox hat.😅
Adding to this previous post to say my mother ALSO never made any public political statements (or flew flags) while Dad was on the court.
Gift link:
Dad was a Superior Court Justice for over 27 years. Not even once during that time did he accept a corporate gift, speak out politically, make political donations, or even put up a lawn sign.
He would be absolutely appalled by the actions of certain SCOTUS judges!
I have the same issue with conventions not posting guest lists on their site. I just ignore those guests…but I know you don’t have the luxury of ignoring industry announcements.
Some of the IRC crowd moved to an “Animedvd” server on Discord. You’re welcome to pop in…
I haven’t been to that con in 20 years. Seems like it has improved a lot.
Is this some weird dance like the Harlem Shake or is it (correctly) a milkshake made without ice cream? (A frappe has ice cream.)
Remember when they used to get artists to write new songs for movies?

Looks like I got blocked. 😅
The original post I had quoted said people shouldn’t be using Google’s search to post screenshots of the silly results because Google will claim lots of people are using it and therefore it’s a success.
…but it’s just regular Google.
It’s a regular Google search which is happening literally thousands of times each second anyway. It’s on by default.
…so the fact I discovered Mark Zuckerberg had been amputated at the head does more to fight against Google’s terrible search than everyone simply ignoring it.
you obviously know that all the queries you're doing so that you get likes for the screenshots of the google AI fucking up will show up as "the public is using it a lot" in some earnings call, right?
Google COULD turn off this whole thing. They haven’t because MONEY > PEOPLE.
Breakin' the law! Breakin' the law!
"For flights departing from a U.S. airport, airlines are required to begin to move the airplane to a location where passengers can safely get off before 3 hours for domestic flights and 4 hours for international flights."

You'd drive through NH to get to Toronto?
I think you need a good night's sleep. 😅
You didn’t have a direct flight? Oh wow… Might have been faster to drive.
The lack of air support in Infinity War’s battle in Wakanda always bugged me.
