I am today years old and just learning you can't recycle greasy pizza boxes...
I think this is common with a lot of young dudes, "I'll just make my own."
Honestly not even sure Perfect Dark is worth all the fuss as a franchise.
Entirely possible! You can even see how the code works if you try to mod in your own stories. It's a pretty simple one for sure. But the game is buttressed by a VERY good Xcom like strategy sim.
There are so many little lyrical phrases and wonderful bits of writing that this game just like... tosses away. And I mean that in the kindest way possible. There's a way it has these big stories that just grow but can also be set aside for new ones that grow the legend. It's wonderful.
Playing Wyldermyth again, and I remember how hard this game had its hooks in me right away. It's a beautiful, weird, tiny RPG that sometimes feels as big as the sky.
Not sure who needs to hear this but check if your NYCC professional pass application was sent to your junk email folder.
No that’s totally fair. I just hate the audio of it, and the call to action element of it. At the same time I understand it’s massively important for titles, especially small titles to keep people aware of the title when it’s closer to release but man… doesn’t mean I like it.
I know it’s super important for devs but I reeeealy hate ads saying “wishlist us now” as a call to action for a game I hadn’t heard of before twenty seconds ago
For the record, the day of the dev stuff that happens right after is so much nicer for showcasing the actual games but by this point I’m pretty exhausted about games.
that's what the indie dev thing right afterward is, but by this point, I'm pretty exhausted.
But I guess that gets in the way of the money you can make per ad buy.
man, #summergamesfest really needs better editing and longer trailers. Even for a two-hour-long commercial, that was an absolute mess of a show. Dare I say a disaster? Even the good-looking games got drowned out by not having long enough presentations to think about what you just saw.
that Squadbusters ad probably cost more money than I'll ever accumulate in my whole life...
Hate having New York suffering both Adams and Hochul at the same time, knowing it can still be worse soon.
I no longer have to wonder how information gets lost to time in science fiction settings.
Kinda noticing how lots of people are bringing up El Goonish Shive in this thread :)
That may be true but I would be very very sad if Lady Godwin goes out stupidly.
I love the show but V Dracula has been my favorite season in a long time. The Chicago live show was a riot.
Kinda miss big webcomics starting out like a shitpost, and then 13 chapters later, the characters challenge god and their own existence.
I do think there's merit that I could probably get more comics out there if I just stopped worrying about the quality of the finish but even after many years trying to simplify things I can't bring down my production time on pages to something more manageable without frustrating myself.
Man, if I drew as fast, consistently, and focused as I keep coming up with new ideas you'd see so many comics from me my dudes.
I was just looking into it some more cause I was trying to figure out an actual use case for it, besides how it remembers a couple things so you don't have to. And that just doesn't seem worth it to enough users. Ontop of that, it's plagarizing a third party app a smaller company made called Rewind.
I'm looking at a little more 80's electronics inspiration frankly, but I need to do quite a bit more research to get the distinctions down. A lot of public buildings were made earlier than the 80's so they still retain those aesthetics. Private companies it's a little harder to find.
I've been, on the side, day dreaming and setting up a whole comic in an SCP like setting. It's tempting to look more at Control for inspiration but I wouldn't want to copy what they did too much since they knocked it out of the park.
Robotech, Cowboy Bebop, Futurama (except the recent Hulu Reboots which I've only seen once through) and Star Trek TNG. Working on my way through a third watch through of DS9.
What TV series have you watched all the way through more than three times?
I'm not a hundred percent sure I'll use it as it is in this setting I'm working on. But thanks. It's kinda like an eviler r2 unit.
Sometimes I think I have it rough but then I hear, every morning without fail, the guy from next door parking his car at 4am cause it's the end of his day running late night uber rides.
The one I'm aware of was breaking up the ballot specifically, which in New Jersey primaries were usually in a line according to party. So people who wanted to challenge the Democrats party in New Jersey, would end up further away from the all important line. Changing this did favor Kim but for good.
I’m Voting in the New Jersey primary today. May I suggest voting Andy Kim for senate? I’ve been wanting to get rid of the criminal Bob Menedez for too many election cycles now so I’m voting for the new guy from my old neighborhood.
