I was into it at first because it seemed like they were just having a goofy time, and I am ok with "loosely inspired by". But there were a lot of bizarre choices!
Welp. I tried to watch "A Walk in the Woods", a comedy about two old guys attempting the Appalachian Trial, loosely based on a book I actually did read years ago. I did not finish due to really nasty hatred of fat people and fat women specifically.
yes it used to be the future farmers of america but now it's just FFA, like how the Y is no longer the YMCA, it's just the Y. I love these kinds of name changes.
I could use things to watch that don't have tons of flashing lights, and are in English (or have a dub). Documentaries, comedies, romance, queer stuff, you tube things, etc.
Suggestions sought! (thank you for previous suggestions!)
i LOVED how they were like yes, staying alive is a brave choice, an unselfish choice. yes you are allowed to move on. Yes you should live. #spoilers #SortOf #GodzillaMinusOne
I watched "Godzilla Minus One" on Netflix and it was awesome. I loved it. I ended up switching to the dub because it's cognitively easier for me to follow, and it was a little stilted at times but pretty good overall.
The thing about my head injury / chronic pain / etc. The intellect is all still there. But the ability to concentrate and focus is impaired. It's hard to describe brain things.
Thinking about how George Miller directed animated films and that probably is a great skill set w/r/t live action films, ie planning it all out beforehand.
I would like to learn more names of trees in my neighborhood.
I am reading some Furiosa meta and it's so great how these movies reward attention to detail.
I love it when a very conventionally beautiful actress is like, I wanna play a fucked up character
LA Pride parade on TV sasha-feather.dreamwidth.org/1344549.html
So anyways yes I'm a little high thank you #medicalMJ for improving my personality, let's be real
Highlight so far has been George Takei and his husband Brad. Delightful #LAPride
Hot topics encountered so far: cops at pride, corporations galore, SpaceX: "They are just shooting rockets all the time!" And contrast that will all the health orgs and the dancers and cool stuff.
Man this #LAPride parade coverage is great. It's so cheerful, awkward, schlocky. There are lots of hot topics that the reporters are smiling and ignoring. it's so wonderful.
The reporters, they are so cute and I love it so much #LAPride
"Fringe is my favorite color" -- this person from the ACLU #LAPride :D
#LAPride Parade is on TV! So far we've seen a queer mariachi band, Dykes on Bikes, and a group of indigenous queer people with some cool outfits / costumes.
Today I watched "Hitman" on Netflix, it is SUPER fun, definitely recommend. A comedy with some twists and turns and great performances.
Currently fascinated by the gumption of networks using canceled shows to advertise their pride collections
Spiritual is the word that comes to mind; a word I don't use very often. But having the windows open is great for my soul. It was so hard last year when we had so much smoke. I love hearing the world and feeling the breeze.
Absolutely perfect weather today. I'm so grateful for the windows, for the lack of wildfire smoke, for the full-grown trees.
Watched "Beautiful Game," a cromulent movie about the Homeless World Cup, a soccer / fútbol event. It was not great. But it was fun to see Susan Wokoma!
Well, my eyes are done for the day and it's only mid afternoon.
