One new quirk introduced in the remake: quitting to title while in the dungeon and then reloading your save will reset the dungeon as if you had left the floor.
Handy for grinding certain fixed encounters without having to run back to the elevator constantly.
I turned my Fighter into a Ninja, but then ended up finding a Thieves Dagger because the game has a sense of humor.
I should have finished a while ago but I was told about the equipment grinding spot on floor 7 and I've been camped there looking for a Muramasa and/or a Shuriken.
I accidentally made an all-evil party, which made the Lord's Garb I found very very sad.
I started with Fighter/Fighter/Priest/Bishop/Mage/Mage, dumped the Bishop for another Priest after I leveled them up to 10, then dumped the Priest for a Samurai after level drain killed their HP.
She's gorgeous, but I almost didn't recognize her since she wasn't poisoned 😂
This is why I finally sat down and put all the birthdays into a calendar with multiple reminder emails 😂
Upgraded to 406 ilvl today and got into a SoO Heroic pug. Stuff is *beefy* on heroic and hits pretty hard; the person with 900k HP was constantly 1-shot, and even with 2000k I couldn't even face tank trash like I can in Normal.
Today on "hyper-focusing on minutiae": when do dog kobolds 1st appear?
For the curious:
AD&D (1977) has a picture with a rat/canineish looking Kobold, but Moldvay Basic D&D (1981) 1st describes them as "dog-like" men.
Basic goes to Japan in 1985 and we see dog-kobolds in the 1987 Wizardry ports.
I spent a lot on mounts at first, but once I saw how hard people were going if they had grinded I switched to upgrades.
I only get to upgrade my gear every 2-3 days but I'm definitely noticing the benefits and have a better shot at getting into pugs.
I keep blowing my bronze on upgrades, but on the bright side I learned I can solo normal MSV on my rogue now (though it's too slow to be profitable)
I finished Jade Forest and all of the Normal raids. Now need to grind ilvl to get invited to Heroics
I got stuck with 4 one year until I got past the Sandworm.
Needless to say I didn’t have to worry about levels after that point 😂
I wasn't expecting to see any Space Ace fanart, so this is a pleasant surprise!
I *just* got through all the Normals myself after lucking into a group that didn't fall apart on Dark Anime in ToT and then getting a very strong group who melted SoO.
Now to keep grinding my ilvl in the hopes of getting into Heroic one day
I loved Battle Chess, even if it wasn't a terribly good chess game. Very satisfying watching your Rook eat the other pieces
With the introduction of working hashtags and media tabs I've found I needed less custom feeds than I did previously, but I still use a few
