I've watched the rightward creep of the Republican party since Reagan with the Democrats, in an attempt to stay relevant, follow along leaving the GOP nowhere to go politically but right into authoritarianism. So here we are. Dealing with right wing self serving toxic personalities.
The dialogue over the Israeli/Palestinian war is full on crap. You can support Israel and still be very critical over their horrific scorched earth tactics towards Palestinian civilians. F Hamas.
For the drummers: name a drummer who's music you're not really a fan of but you love their playing. For me it's Dave Weckl. I think he's one of the best to ever play but I could never get into his fusion jazz.
One of the very few positives of the social media democratization of the news that has been a big reason for our disinformed and angry polarized public is people like David Brooks and Bill Kristol are finally marginalized to the bin of unimportant always wrong old white guys.
The state of things is such that people are desperately trying to blame Biden and the Ds for their tingling spidey sense that the country is failing when in truth it's the authoritarian enabling Republicans who've failed Americans and hate the Democratic institutions.
I agree Biden has been a great president. Probably the most effective and productive president in my lifetime but the usual metrics used to define how the country is doing aren't showing an accurate picture of how people are really feeling and doing.
