topatoco.comnice thing about being off twitter is sometimes I run across a thing like this and realize that I literally forgot that guy existed
I had to google that, and in the course of doing so ... well I'm afraid I have bad news for you fellas
I rely on you exclusively for my understanding of these matters
Just over here hanging out with my blueskriends
anybody remember that cringey post Zuckerberg put up in response to ... an MMA fighter, maybe?
"thriends"
She hacks her way through the biomass, starts figuring out how to pull tendons to control the ship, and then the ship takes off. There's no indication whatsoever that she goes back outside during any of this.
this one bugged me on first viewing and still does. For her to have gone back out she had to figure out how to reload her suit oxygen from the organic/mech dead Cylon, go back out, find something to use for paint. But the timeline presents her going into the Cylon and staying there.
same, but it turns out the miniseries is on prime as well so I'm gonna need to turn around and watch that now
Yeah it's a journey not the destination kind of show
I still don't understand where in the episode timeline Kara manages to paint the underbelly of that Cylon raider but I'll let it pass
I started rewatching Battlestar Galactica for the first time since it first came out and I don't know if anyone has ever pointed this out, but it is really quite good
Sparky's List subscribers will get an early look this weekend at Donald Trump's courtroom dreams, plus a long-ish (written) account of my day in the overflow room during Michael Cohen's testimony. thismodernworld.com/subscriptions
Who needs coffee when you can start off the day with an unexpected tax bill
depends on how well the moderator does their job
if I'm reading the NYT reporting on this correctly it seems that both candidates have agreed to debates without having the rules nailed down which definitely gives Trump an easy out later
presumably the mic remains off once it has been cut off, until it is turned on again for the next directed question
wow the ENTIRE cast of CATS, I hope the gossip columns don't get ahold of this one
also I feel you need to know about this www.nytimes.com/2024/05/07/a...
With “Hot Dog in the City,” the artists Jen Catron and Paul Outlaw question the lore and lure of American culture (and condiments).
www.nytimes.comI love what the illustrator came up with for this
My favorite flea market in Paris is Porte de Vanves.
wow, I had no idea. When I was a kid, City Park in Iowa City had a prairie dog enclosure.
I'm guessing you don't mean actual prairie dogs? www.google.com/search?q=pra...
fleas were a really common problem in san francisco in the 90s, even for 100% indoor cats.
makes my skin crawl to think of walking through those doors
I sat in the overflow room yesterday and my main takeaway is that this thing should *really* have been televised. Even just an audio stream would have been so important.
This was not a good situation to gauge charisma -- a guy down a dingy, badly lit corridor doing extremely familiar shtick in front of a small press pool
I used to live in a neighborhood where it would be totally plausible for Gwenyth Paltrow to be walking by as I sat on the stoop yet I'm still not sure if that was a thing that really happened or not
