In addition to being a totemaster, I'm also a general.
Also the corollary of "when this guy has 2 or more RBI in a game his team usually wins".
Cool. I saw that on a Best of 2023 list or two and took note of it as well.
I just recently finished Frederic Paxson's History of the American Frontier, which won the Pulitzer back in 1925 I think? I was really interested in how a Pulitzer-level scholar of the time discussed Native Americans.
That I've been reminded of the Tillamook ice cream sandwiches is probably bad news on the whole.
But Tillamook is a good answer overall. I was trying to think of something other than Ben n Jerry's. That's it, there.
Good to hear. I certainly have high hopes. I've never read much about anything in the 20th century, felt not long enough ago. Somehow feels more relevant/necessary now.
I bought Taylor Branch's MLK trilogy on the recommendation of @awgordon.bsky.social 's Buttondown newsletter. I'll probably get started on that in the next couple weeks.
I think maybe they just mean they are supposed to kill them all with the weapons provided and not resettle them.
I was a subscriber on SS and closed my account over there, and am back on board here with you.
Did you know about the lady who always thought her husband stank starting at some point in the marriage then it turned out that she can smell Parkinson’s?
You have no idea who I am or what I do, bitch. I don't feel the need to allude to how involved I am to try to present as legitimate. I asked what the plan is, and you ignored that to focus on a term you could characterize as demanding immediate gratification. You're a bitch.
Ok, please explain how all the lost ground in the last decade is part of a plan. When's the trap gonna be sprung?
Joe Biden goes on about his great pals on the other side. The only thing that got him off Lindsey Graham's jock is when Lindsey went after his son. Joe could give two shits about the people.
And it's people like you who think it's long-termism to keep sacrificing principles for nothing. Nancy and her ilk openly wish for Republicans to be more normal (which to her is like Ronald Reagan) so they can just go back to enriching themselves without people paying so much attention.
I can't remember if the sugar sandwiches while high scene in Friday was part of the movie or a deleted scene on the DVD, but it was inspirational.
Mostly national leadership who passes up every opportunity to affirmatively do something, and instead defers to fake stuff like a parliamentarian. And just raises money off stopping Republicans from doing things instead.
Thoughts and prayers to pregnant women!
"Lose on purpose" is a bit much perhaps, but Dems could stand to do a thing or two that indicates they care much either way.
Done!
I’d forgotten that the Music City Miracle came on a forward pass from Wychek. He even hopped in disappointment at fucking it up but it was let go.
I've been looking at that tourney say Pick and Pray for a couple days and just now it transforms into Live.
I assume the Pegasus Qualifier today is Pick and Pray while all the other feature tournaments are Live due to incompetence and not some weird rule that Pegasus qualifiers be that format all the time.
VAMOS VIEJO in the finale at Gulfstream is the day's scratch that is like a kick in the nuts.

El Socio should actually be DQed from 2nd and put behind GOOCH GO BRAGH, who crossed the wire 4th. We'll see.
I don't think they both have to stick to one turn, but they were compromised by not anticipating that the winner would get sent with blinkers on in this spot. Mattingly, in particular, had bad tactics being on the lead. Bentornato was more uncomfortable in his spot, I think.
In hindsight, the 12/1 winner is a horse I should have played in tournaments even if 12/1 was not a win bet price.
But that the connections stated they were hoping for third and pessimistic about it all, one wonders what that means for Bentornato and Mattingly.
Excited to see BENTORNATO v. MATTINGLY coming up going two turns at Gulfstream.
He ended up not being any kind of sneaky play at 7/2, so no bet, and finishes second.
Having the wherewithal to not play your horse when the number isn't there is a win in itself.
EL SOCIO drew in to the 6th at Gulfstream. A very much desired thing for my plans today.

Wow, TWILIGHT GLEAMING drops into an n3x on Sunday. Beat her in that to get partway there on a big Turf Pick 3.
Kinda curious that Samy Camacho has lost the mount on MATTINGLY for his attempt to unseat BENTORNATO as premiere juvenile FL-bred on Saturday as they go two turns for the first time.
Gulfstream Park in Florida unveils a $3-minimum Turf Pick 3 on Saturday. I took the opportunity to call out epic dipshit Harris Auerbach and the TOC in California.
The Tropical Turf Pick 3 is a welcome offering
bit.lyThe overtime rule change needed is for the Bills to use their brains in that period.
I cannot believe they bet Skinner down to even money in the Native Diver. He ran fine and was clear second place, but yikes.
Just now getting to the ending here on RedZone. 10-7 and end on a missed chip shot to tie? LOL
Pretty light weekend of playing races for me, but am in Del Mar tournament today. Not much of real interest, but I will call out ARROWTHEGREAT as a likely worthwhile play in the Native Diver.
Who Dey won, certified beast. Bet down to just 4/1
The 7th race at Churchill tomorrow has some horses I felt the need to write my thoughts on. The horse to root for in there is Ohio's juvenile champion and possible freak, WHO DEY.
The best horse on the card is probably in the 7th race allowance
rb.gyLike opening up a book to find it's written in the first-person
Jaguars-Texans tomorrow is the first time I've ever cared about a game between two AFC South teams.
Pretty funny that STOP THE PRESS got bet to favoritism on debut at Keeneland off of being a $1.5m auction buy. Then the horse just jogged around getting some work in for Shug.
