I'm guessing many that saw themselves in the characters said something to that effect
When it was still quite new, I think I explained disgust of it to my parents as "blackface for autism" (not sure I'd use exactly that language today, but you get the idea)
Unbelievable to make such good content and then just so wholly disappear. Modern legend
There was a tweet a couple weeks ago that incels are idiots for thinking they can't get laid for being ugly; women across the country are writing smut about him this very minute (maybe it was your tweet lol)
Loved DE1 entirely, but I've no faith whatsoever they'd get the political/moral messaging right
I started watching the show specifically because my friend told me they did this. I was incredulous it aired on broadcast television
Wait do you live in Buffalo? (Sorry don't mean to be creepy but it would be surprising if someone I've been following here ended up in this city)
"Role playing game" and "rocket propelled grenade" equally likely options here
Roko's basilisk except it's knowing how to login to the NYS tax website
I've got a buddy who's the most friendly & unassuming person in real life, but comes across as a pedantic nagging asshole online. Would never be friends with him if I met him online first. Funny how people are like that sometimes. I wonder if its a result of how online we (people like you and I) are
Oh, cool. I actually land there myself - I used to play a lot of DDR. A lot. I still own a precision pad that doesn't get the use it should. Very jealous of people with arcade cabinets for sure
@dennywhere.bsky.social you follow a lot of people with DDR in their profile
Hi Talia! I have a master's degree in ontology/philosophy.
Boring answer: it depends on why you need to know. Is a sandwich shop with a non compete clause suing a business park for letting a grill in? Very important distinction! Comparing quantity of sandwich-like foods to fruit? Then maybe!
The fallout MTG set seems to have an inverse relationship between quality of the game and number of cards that reference it
W00tstout was embarrassing to buy but was legitimately enjoyable to drink! Not a "quality" beer, but big sweet flavors in a strong stout. Good for what it wanted to be
I look for every opportunity to use this line. (It's not very often really, but I still try)
Is giving you all these new mechanics and then ending the mini game before you use them an intentional bit you think?
Western RPGs are filled with waste of time battles too (Skyrim a perfect example), but at least you could just ignore the 200 bandit caves and just jam the main story if you were so inclined
Man I tried to enjoy the first one. I thought it seemed pretty interesting! But the endless random battles between locations was too much. Fascinating story and characters but I didn't want to watch auto battles for 90 hours to see it
TM: hey there's some circus tickets on presale
Bill: ok tha-
TM: for you to work at
Lol ARPGs are the perfect genre for seasons. The type of brain that likes ARPGs is exactly the type of brain that likes a fresh start and a new climb. Once you are done gearing your character, all of the games mechanics disappear!
I do not know this movie, and I do not know what happens in the beach scene. But as a parent of a 3yo and 2yo, just reading you discuss it has evoked an unpleasant physiological reaction
For a long time I imagined that if I ever moved I'd have to get back into magic in order to find a new social circle. But now I realize that the "old crowd" at a card store these days will be 24, so lol. I'd prob try board game groups but those people can be odd.
There's always furries or swinging!
Bubblegum? Pretty sure it begins with a B. I think Zitron might be jumping ship there?
What's funny is that I read the quote in the cap before anything else, and I thought it was something Rufo had said unironically
I looked this up because I was curious and my kids made me play it five times in a row
A new season started less than a week ago, so it's a great time to jump in
Have you looked up Path of Exile? Best ARPG on the market by a million miles
