Watching Tesla crash videos is so satisfying because it usually means one less irresponsible death machine on the roads.
Tesla and minivan drivers are the absolute worst ones and I try to avoid them like the plague.
God damn, Maryland Deathfest '25 early bird tickets go on sale tomorrow??? Everyone literally just blew all their money last week, why the fuck are they doing this now?
This Maryland Deathfest was my 5th time going and I honestly believe it was the best one yet.
There was a pretty good number of bands to cross off my bucket list and I was able to hang out with some of the best people one could hope for in the metal community and am arranging things for MDF '25.
Yo #MetalSky, this is straight up Grave worship and it sounds so filthy. Don't sleep on this.
yet again i have found a little gem by clicking on cover art of this particular flavour
#DeathMetal #music
Holy shit this rules. Thanks for bringing this to my attention
These are the same type of residents that don't understand why their towns are dying around them and then continue to be as bigoted and insular as possible to keep their own rotten hegemony alive.
me literally updating my god awful one-man goregrind MySpace page
mech grindcore what up
gridlink.bandcamp.com/album/corone...
Gonna bookmark this for work on Tuesday. Thanks for the recommendation!
I foresee no privacy invasion issues with this. Nope. None.

“The company behind the new drone, Seattle-based Brinc — a tech startup with a 24-year-old chief executive — has boasted it will ‘revolutionize the public safety landscape.’” 🫠
Several Southern California law enforcement agencies use drones in a variety of scenarios including hostage situations, missing persons and 911 response.
www.latimes.comI think that's going to be our designated break time for food and rehydration. We've seen Mayhem before and they're great, but ya know, gotta eat!
Lol I mean I like them a lot too but she's very picky with her death metal and Bloodbath hits that sweet spot for her.
This is it. The final day of Maryland Deathfest '24.
I'm most excited to see Inhume and Jig-Ai as I never thought I'd get to see either live. We'll probably cut the night short after Bloodbath (who my wife loves) so we can leave early tomorrow for the long drive back home.
Man, what a way to end the night with goregrind legends Haemorrhage. They were having so much fun on stage and I loved the wacky theatrics that went into their performance. A good time had by all.
My body feels severely arthritic so you're not wrong

Dismember was a literal near religious experience for me. I've been waiting damn near 25 years to see them and we're so impactful when I was discovering death metal. The band was in a flow state from the very first note and owned the Marketplace. I'm so fucking lucky to have seen them.
[woman yelling at a large man that nearly crushed her when he crowd surfed and seems hurt] "it's not even your fault! It's the weak fucking nerds that couldn't carry you!"
Just Soundstage Things
You and me both. I'm already going through withdrawals.
Yesterday when Ethan of Vermin Womb was introducing the next song he yelled "this song is about gentrification which is a problem in a world full of fucking problems" and I felt that
today's "gentrification!!" discourse take is that a lot of "gentrification!!" discourse is downstream of how the death-spiral era of american cities has passed out of popular consciousness, and only the recovery era remains, now coated in a hazy gauze of nostalgia
I don't know how I'm up and walking for Haemorrhage, but here I am.

A sunset with classic thrash metal as the soundtrack courtesy of Sacrifice? Don't mind if I do!
Skinless fucking rules. They were one of the first bands to get me into death metal and them playing a super old-school set was so awesome to see.

I am a total sucker for Last Days Of Humanity worship and Vomi Noir gives you that in buckets of puke. Real nasty fast paced goregrind with some nice grooves thrown into the mix.

Contaminated put out a new album a little while ago and I really liked it, but hooooooo boy seeing them live makes it seem like a different release from how heavy they were here. If you're unfamiliar with them they play a real heavy and groovy style of death metal not unlike Undeath or Gutted.

I love that one of the OG European brutal death metal bands Severe Torture is still able to come out and whip some ass with gnarly riffs, gutturals, and copious blastbeats. They were dialed in hard and were fantastic.

Avulsed was so fucking sick. A ton of old school tracks and Dave Rotten is one of the best death metal frontmen of all time. Dude just windmill headbangs while doing sick ass guttural vocals. They're just a, blast to see.

Today is going to be a long, sweaty, and loud day in Baltimore! I wish I could see Vomitory but I *have* to be up front for Dismember, so I'm going to see Sacrifice and plant some roots. God I love death metal.
Highlighted bands are ones ill be trying to see:

Final band to close out Friday night is grind/hardcore/powerviolence juggernaut Weekend Nachos. It was a great way to end the night and watching that pit was so gnarly and into it.

I feel so spoiled that every set I've looked forward to has been amazing. This Brodequin set will be a legendary one to look back on. The three of them were perfectly on point and a great set list full of oldies and new songs. I'm going to be sore from the pit and stage divers, but fuck it, worth it

Spectral Wound was fucking *incredible*. Their melodic and depressing sound converted perfectly to a live setting. They played a new song that was fucking awesome, and who could've seen them doing a black metal cover of "Painkiller" by Judas Priest? Unbelievable set.
Holy hot fucking shit I love Vermin Womb.
They're one of the most venemous deathgrind bands going. Ethan's vocals are next level fierce and I love how Brandon (bass) moves around the stage staring down the crowd like an ethereal pestilence.

I may have overdone it yesterday as my body needs some additional downtime, so I missed Kontusion sadly 😔 but I was able to catch my first time seeing Defeated Sanity! God damn were they brutal as hell. I definitely want to see them again.
And I just got to the Rams Head to see them. 😉 Will report back.
I've been a huge Kontusion fan since that demo a couple of years ago and saw them live last year and they were so much fun. Would've been nice to see them again, but oh well.
I want to highlight this local pizza joint in Baltimore, Kechy Pizza Co. It's easily some of the best pizza I've ever had and everything tastes super fresh. The tiramisu is God Tier delicious and homemade every day. We've been here 3 times since Monday and plan one more visit before we leave.

Today marks the second day of Maryland Deathfest! It looks like I'll primarily be at the Soundstage today for a lovely mix of death metal/grindcore/powerviolence.
The crudely highlighted bands are who I'm looking forward to seeing the most.
You would be 100% be fucking up if they come near you and you don't catch them. They were positively phenomenal and I'm bummed the only merch they had here were too small size shirts and records I already have. Would've loved a flag or patch.
These are fantastic! Really happy you popped up on my feed as I love your type of style.
Yup! Been here since Monday and I've been posting photos of all the bands I've seen so far. It's my first MDF being sober so this has also been a great way to catalog what I've experienced.
Hell yeah, real ethereal and relaxing before a day of death metal. This rules.
It also helps that there's an 'e' at the end of Peste Noire
