Biden had articulated a hope that the November ceasefire would become something like this, and had even included funds for rebuilding Gaza in the orginal aid to Israel bill.
If Biden had the leverage in November, Israel wouldn't be in Gaza now.
Government should not be defining who is family.
The overhaul/replacement of family law would be a massive headache, though.
Hadn't search engines been posting a Wikipedia paragraph at the top of search results for awhile before the LLM fad?
Google was already bad before AI.
I tried out Kagi, a paid search engine, and I liked it enough to keep it. It works like I remember Google working 20ya, and I spend a lot less time fighting the search engine.
I finish* projects all the time; actually needing the finished item helps.
However, I cannot be accused of finishing most projects I start.
*Usually my finished projects have a list of improvements I plan to implement later, and never get around to.
There is never going to be a stable third party as long as we have plurality voting.
Is split screen multi-player no longer a thing?
Because the last time I stayed up all night playing video games and eating pizza was...January.
how do you tell the difference between mosquito bites and hives?
No one else has been bitten, but I have about 10 spots on my ankles.

Maybe she has figured it out. 🤷🏼
When we took a nap this afternoon, she went and pawed at the portable AC unit, which I've turned off in favor of the swamp cooler.
It really was.
The house itself was wonderful. 3 bedroom (we were looking for 4), but the den was huge, had a bar sink, and big north-facing windows; it would have made a great office/studio. And one of the bedrooms was perfect for my mom's sewing room.
But that bathroom was a deal breaker.
I looked at a house that had the toilet installed backwards*.
This toilet is at least somewhat accessable.
*It was a tiny bathroom, with the sink on the south wall, and the toilet on the north. The depth of the sink and the toilet overlapped.
Were you able to eat those?
Target has changed what they carry this month, and I'm having to find substitutes for some of my preferred foods. It has been frustrating.
Even with the gloves, my blister didn't fair well.
And the gloves made it so much harder to deal with the screws (which took almost as much time as cleaning everything!)
Swamp cooler is on! Ladder is back in the garage!
I took a break about 3, because of the heat, even though I had about 15 minutes of work left. Highly recommend others working in the sun do the same!
Terrorists can't be fully defeated by military action, and events like this (regardless of where fault lies) feed a new generation of terrorists.
No solutions, just pointing out that even if this is kettle logic, not bombing is probably the right choice.
She has not figured out why I trap her there during the afternoon.
She's splooted on the kitchen tile instead of going into the cooler bedroom, even though I am in the bedroom.
Float will have to be replaced. 😝
And I spilt the swamp cooler cleaner, so my mom ran to the store to get that for me.
I bought a float while I was getting tubing connectors. And some gloves, because I already have a blister.
On my way to get parts for the swamp cooler.
I bought parts last week, when I got the new pads, but apparently I got the wrong parts.
The consolidation of movie studios, and the vertical integration of the industry, has been horrible for consumers.
Streaming should have allowed low-budget, small-audience movies to thrive!
We took a trip into the kitchen for dinner, Amica scarfed hers down and returned to the coolness, waited a few minutes, came out to glare at us for not joining her (Zuben eats slow), and went back.
Has she finally figured out why I trap her in there during summer afternoons?

Pringles: Plain.
How non-identical do they need to be to count individually?
If it is a form letter, but someone adds a "my experiences with
I shouldn't be able to loose Amica in a room this small, but I think opening the camera app sent her under the bed. 🤷🏼
I have joined the dogs in the coolness, and Zuben is grabbing things to try to get me to chase her.
Room is way to small for games of chasr.
Amica is very unhappy that I just trapped her in the bedroom (with the only AC in the house; I'm late turning on the swamp cooler).
Zuben, however, is quite happy I finally shut the door.
Tweed sportcoat, and a leather or tweed vest (if not no vest), and I don't think the unpolished shoes and worn jeans would be as noticeable.
Of course, then he'd clash with his wife's all black ensemble, and I suspect that isn't negotiable.
The replies of covert extremists will be full of extremists with labels, which should give others pause.
For an irl example, one of my relatives was concerned about kids transitioning, until I showed them what other "concerned" people were saying online.
Guilt by association can be powerful.
Labeling allows us to isolate them, while also keeping their extremism in public view.
If the blatant extremists are banned, the covert extremists have an easier time remaining covert.
I don't know if it will work, but labeling has the potential to make it harder for extremism to spread.
Superficially, that guy looks a bit like Buddy Holly, but most people describe Holly's face as cute, not punchable.
I suspect that it is the overtone of evil smugness that makes him punchable.
Have you checked out Taurus Shield? They have a label for that.

When I used Linux, I kept a notebook of every change I made, so that when fixing program A broke program B, I could figure out what the actual problem was.
Windows is a pita, but I've never had to go that far.
