Tottenham fan. Favourite line of all time, from Darth Putin - The dildo of consequences rarely arrives lubed.
Opened Reddit after many months. First site took much longer to load I had to check my bandwidth. Entered correct credentials to log in. It says server error. F Reddit
I think it is clear who is the plans for next season. Of course unless a big offer arrives etc etc
Austin Vicario Porro Romero Dragusin VDV Udogie Biss Bentancur Sarr Madders Werner Son Richy Johnson Deki Austin.
16 out of 25. Possibly more academy players.
Because of stupid folks like him I've limited time spent on reading Vichy Guardian.
Yeah clubs down the table may take a chance with Rodon. Leeds ain't buying Rodon now. Parachute payment provide relief for one season. Leeds failed to get promoted, they're essentially f*****.
That's a great point.
Although I think it is more down to Werner's injury. If he hadn't got injured Leipzig would've asked for permanent transfer from either Spurs or another club. Him getting injured right near end of season meant Leipzig had only Spurs offer on table.
Wise move from Potter imo declining Ajax gig. Ajax haven't been the same ever since Levy made them pay 25 mil for Bergwjin.
If Werner stays that means Solomon is definitely out. We'd have Richy, Son, Werner, Deki and Brennan. And we'll probably sign one or two in those positions.
Lilywhite Rose is a very good account for academy updates. However that account has been posting Werner's wages for last 2 months now. Maybe stick to what you do best - providing valuable academy bits.
Reporting on wages which remains inconsistent even at the best of times ain't a good idea.
I was happy from the moment Werner's arrival links started popping up in January. Then did a U Turn on him being in the team for next season when he got injured.
I think it is a good idea if Werners stays. Good option from the bench, good attitude and we need depth in all areas.

Even after nearly four years, I'm still perplexed how he managed to get Martial sent off and avoided a red himself. Once check was complete I just burst out laughing along with probably every Spurs fan at home. One of those Lamela things
I don't know on which cloud I would be jumping if Spurs win FA cup after more than 30 years even if Spurs were to have underwhelming season like United
I get all the progress bits in a project- long term and all that stuff. But winning a trophy like FA cup overshadows every bit of crap throughout the season.
There might be a team or two desperate in the late stages of summer window willing to pay his wages. Given he was signed on free, his wages off the book even with no fee sounds good to me.
Ange is likely to be in a pundit role for upcoming Euros. But general elections news has upstaged that
BBC and GB News are competing to sign #thfc head coach Ange Postecoglou as a pundit for the General Elections this summer. [Daily Mail]
I worry we might come at crossroads in summer window like last summer when the player we want to sign may not be available in summer like Dragusin. Fullback who can invert is such a rare mixture and Spurs have been lucky they signed two. But that can't happen every window.
I have more confidence in VDV who if he plays as left back wouldn't need to make same amount of sprinting runs. Sure he isn't best at underlapping but he can always maintain width with slight tweak in tactics. It would be more effective than playing Davies in Udogie role and keeping tactics same.
You can't always scam clubs into selling players like Udogie even if you're a criminal
I think Ange signs left footed CB and keeps Philips. This means Davies can then leave as Udogie, VDV and hopefully one LB signing can cover there.
I'm not worried if Davies stays though.
4 players currently in association trained spots - Maddison, Johnson, Forster, Davies. Slight worry there.
Last summer Ange sold Sanchez knowing well there wasn't any replacement lined up. Do you think he does something similar with Davies? Or Ange has realised selling Sanchez was a good move long term, but it hurt team most in November when he could've helped. We also have Europe this year.
Ange has used him so less from the bench I had to consider what if Ange doesn't fancy Davies!
I can see a counter point - when Ange needed him most he was unfortunately injured. But still Davies rarely played when Ange had first choice players available.
Probably come down to whether Spurs can sign CM and LB before they entertain Skipp loan.
I'd send Skipp on loan, he badly needs one. Much better for him to get minutes in his legs. No need to keep him just to make club trained numbers
I think Davies leaves. If it comes down to keeping him or Skipp for left back cover role I'd keep Skipp. Davies can't do much on overlap and Skipp looks more natural on underlaps.
I'm not a big fan of Sarr or Bentancur as auxiliary right back in build up. Sarr can do a job there but Bentancur doesn't seem to enjoy much. Even Sarr looks best at tracking back rather than building up play. This is where 3-2 can help well with RCB or RB ready to step in that zone in first phase
Yeah Royal isn't staying. I don't see any reason there either.
I thought one of Davies and Skipp might stay for leftback cover. But VDV played there well and as an emergency cover can do a job there. Not too much sprinting back when playing left back
2 wins and 4 losses without Udogie. Spurs badly missed him.
Porro alternative to be defensive - I can see benefits there. I wouldn't mind another Porro with more height for setpieces.
Yeah. I think Maddison, Son and whoever plays on the left will benefit very well with an overlapping fullback. That doesn't mean Udogie shouldn't play but a bench option of different profile should add variety
I'm like 3-2 in-game shape Pep utilizes or a box 2-2 shape with Porro joining in with 6 and Udogie joining front line or staying close to it. This should allow switch of play from Porro who can make those passes and easy option for VDV or Dragusin for more penetration through centre
Sorry about that. In general bit you covered everything aka VAR. With semi automated offsides hopefully it'll become less of an issue
Oil money and sustainability rules need rethinking given Chelsea shenanigans but that's more a pipe dream
Ange becomes more flexible with tactics. Fullbacks don't always have to invert, they can remain in their natural position sometimes. Best teams play in more than one way - core principles remain same with tactics always changing and players rotating in positions for more control.
