My boomer opinion of the day: I absolutely despise the mainstreaming of “Friendly reminder.” At best, it’s sufferably passive. At worst, it’s passive-aggressive.
The fact I’m getting medical text reminders that now say friendly reminder instead of just reminder like before, like why?

Along w/ “Hey there, big boy. You know what’s sexy? Respecting other peoples time, so use those sensuous fingers to confirm or cancel”
I think the world would be a better place if we got duolingo reminders

Every calendar appointnent I have has three reminders: thirty minutes before, a reminder the morning of, and an email the day before.
I sometimes add a reminder at the beginning of the week, too, if the appointment is on like a Thursday.
As a friendly reminder, today is Saturday.

Kinda funny that reminders are only labeled as "friendly" when they're kind of not. Just saw a reminder that did not involve any obligation labeled as "friendly" and was like, no, this is just a reminder. Calling it friendly makes me think you're mad at me!
